Till date

14th September 2013
There is only one difference between a long life and a good dinner: that, in the dinner, the sweets come last.

It was a pleasant Saturday and I joined bf's gathering with his friends. We had a hard time deciding on oudinner venue because it was always hard to get a table with big crowd. Then bf recommended Hifumi for it's free flow of dishes at salad bar. I think it's time for bf to get a hair cut. Y' know what, I trimmed my bf's eyebrow. It was mad fun and I just did that randomly since he doesn't mind. I did a pretty good job.

We shopped around Plaza Singapura as Feddrick wanted to buy toys. First, he eyed on Hx for bubble tea and then he attempted to rob Jy her cash on hand for lunch payment. Finally, he eyed on bf and kept pestering him to buy toys. I swear he's better than me. Feddrick kept holding bf's right hand while I was holding the left. He kept swinging and hopping, grumbling about toys. Ss gave up and bought him one. She surrendered to him eventually.

We parted off at Plaza Singapura because everyone had evening plans on. I had my dessert at Canele. I ordered the waffles and added ice-cream toppings to it. Teng loves waffles, so I intentionally sent the photo of my waffles to it. Like-a-bad, but I meant well (Hidden language: She can go tmm with her hubby).

After shopping around Bugis, we met Edmund and Xueli for supper. We went to Demsey Hill for Ben & Jerry ice-cream. Bf and I skipped that because we already had our ice-cream in the day. We headed to Holland Village for pizza and West Coast Mac'D for chill out. That's about it. I'm so glad, my posts were finally up to date.

Have a nice day.

This world

22nd June 2013
Cap and trade is enforced through the selling and trading of permits, it actually perpetuates the pollution it is supposed to eliminate.

I finally dug out this really outdated post of mine, three months ago. Yep, I even remembered how terrible the air was when we continued with our plans to Johor Bahru. I couldn't remember the reason but I suppose I wanted to do nails badly. The PSI was about to hit 400 and we could hardly see far objects clear. Bf got me mask and we went ahead.

#Me and bf with mask

The air in Malaysia was not as bad as Singapore at that point of time. Bf brought me to nice Bah Kut Teh restaurant for lunch. You can select your own additional ingredients to be added which was rather cool.

After I had my nails done, we went for a haircut. Then, we booked a hotel for one night stay at somewhere further off from KSL (because all hotels near KSL were fully booked). We decided to stay for the night because we reached JB at a later time probably 4pm or 5pm. It was never sufficient for me to eat and shop. After booking the hotel room, we intended to have our dinner at the nearest Jusco.

Being a road idiot, I had no idea where I was. I just followed bf blindly.

#Dinner

We had a scrumptious dinner at a place I could not remember. I only remembered that my food was delicious, that's about it.

We had ice-cream before summarizing our day at a KTV near our hotel. I even made membership card. I guessed I have more membership cards from Malaysia than in Singapore.

Good day, everyone.

Once and twice

2 September 2013
As each day comes to us refreshed and anew, so does my gratitude renew itself daily. The breaking of the sun over the horizon is my grateful heart dawning upon a blessed world.

Vivian bought Herbalife for me because I wanted to slim down lazily. My intention was to have this as my staple food. Unfortunately, my laziness was not within expectation. It's been 2 weeks and I only had it twice. My laziness can be hopeless at times. I shall try to curb my eating habits for the time being before resuming my Herbalife. Thanks Vivian for getting her sister to buy it from Malaysia and carry it all the way back to Singapore.

Good day.

Hearty

I'm really eager to remove all the water retention in my body. Have to get rid of them in less than 2 weeks (I already set the dateline for it). After getting rid of my water retention. I'll be going on a really healthy diet and gonna jog twice or thrice a week to reduce my body weight (fats actually). I have to lose weight before my trip especially after reading online blogs about amazing food in Taiwan. I know I have to do it. Papaya shall remove toxins and milk should aid in my night blindness (preparation for upcoming Halloween at USS). This time round, Ah Tard is not joining because of her budget. Huuu sad, she told me that she is scrimping but on the other hand, she went dating with Vena, splurging on expensive food. See see see, bias max. #Heartbroken.

Last year, I had the best guide dog, best walking stick, best pair of eyes. Now, I have to find replacement just in case I walk right into the wall and bleed myself to death. #Cry.

Burst balloon burst

Water retention is killing me from inside. It's all because of my less intake of water causing my body system to lock the moisture in my body systematically. That explains why I hardly perspire. I had been swelling so badly that I jogged twice this week after stopping for a month or more. I shrink an inch or more immediately. Life's been pretty good lately because I managed to sleep and eat well. It's less than 2 months before flying to Taiwan. I am so excited because it seems adventurous to be travelling on our own. I bet it is more adventurous for bf because he did the route planning. I am still shaking legs beside him googling about nothing except good food and beautiful rooms. Accommodations are more or less settled except for Taipei. Bf is still waiting for replies patiently hoping that the room I want is still available. Chinese replies are making him dreadful. Gosh, y'know what. He can't read at all. I can't believe he managed to pass his Chinese for "O" level. I think he even got a B. This is really unfair because, frankly speaking, I think he deserves an E instead. Well, nothing is fair in this world.

I am so looking forward to the trip because there's a min-su with sheep theme awaits my arrival. The room has graffiti of sheep and it has a tent like bed which is gonna coloured my day and yet bf told me we are going to leave the room pretty early for Sun Moon Lake. Like-a-sad. Well, well, it's not a grave matter anyway. I still have many theme min-su(s) awaiting for me, like the cow (Teng's favourite), Winnie-the-pooh, wooden hut etc)

Contentment bursting from within because we will be staying there for 10 days. We will be covering Taipei, Hualien, Taichung, Sun Moon Lake, Cingjing, Kaoshiung, Kenting. I have a little secret to tell here. I intended to bring a thousand only and in any case of overspending, I gonna tell bf I have no cash in hand. Tada, save my wallet with his wallet. I think this is an awesome idea.

Oh no, I'm feeling sleepy again. Good night people. Have a real pretty weekends.

Back bent

8th September 2013
Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent.

It was the most fantastic day when we met 2 hiccups at the start of the day. We intended to have Xiao Long Bao for brunch. Unfortunately, it was closed for renovation. Well, in fact a part of the entire street will be under renovation till the end of Sep/Oct. Sad, I miss the Xiao Long Bao very much. That was the slightest hiccup when Teng's sandals broke. The sole came out. I tried to be realistic and logical (I am, all the time). Therefore I suggest Teng to tie her foot and the base of the shoe with a rubber band. Sigh, she stared at me instead.

She needs a pair of shoes urgently. So, we went shopping at CK departmental store (the only hopeful place). She walked around the store barefooted (unglamorous to the max, lol). The sale assistant was amused looking at her bare feet as she browse around for shoes.

It was then an auntie suggested Teng to tie her foot and the shoe with a rubberband. @.@ Surprisingly, the auntie gotten no stares but a sweet smile from her. Teng obediently tied around with a rubberband. Biased max. Roarrrrr.

Isn't it the same suggestion? (Rofl)

 photo IMG_4447.jpg
#Waraku

There was nothing much to eat at Chinatown. Song Fa Bah Kut The was having a super long queue. I caught a glimpse of the queue when I passed by in the bus. Hence, we decided to give it a miss and make our way to The Central. We had Waraku for lunch.

 photo IMG_4450.jpg
#Soup Carbonara Pasta

We ordered the same thing because we had the same taste buds. Great minds think alike except the part she disagree with my rubberband idea but agreed with the auntie's rubberband idea. No justice. Sigh. Worse, she commented that I jinxed her. I wondered who's the one who jinxed my Xiao Long Bao restaurant down instead. Rant rant rant. Hahaha.

#Creamier

We had a long chat at Waraku for some digestion before heading to Toa Payoh for waffles at Creamier. I read many good reviews about it before deciding on it. We took MRT to Braddell and transfer to bus, alight after 2 stops. It was not difficult but the place is definitely out of the place. It's located under HDB area.

We reached in the late afternoon and the crowd was still ongoing endlessly. There's one thing we could not deny, the aroma of waffles. The aroma filled our noses pleasantly and I knew the waffle is going to be real good.

We made our way to Bugis to meet(collect) Qian. Qian is forever lost in town. I always thought myself to be a road idiot till I found her. It's never lonely to be a road idiot anymore. Teng and I were driving an overloaded truck (tummy) and could no longer eat. We watched Qian eat that night. Shop a little, eat a minimal and talk for a short while before heading home.

Have a great day.

Comforts of solitude

7th September 2013
Love and scandal are the best sweeteners of tea.  Tea is drunk to forget the din of the world.

It was a great afternoon for high tea. I waited for Vivian at Far East Plaza because she had to shop for shoes. We had a quick glance and bought nothing before we headed to TCC to slack the day off. Not the day, it was just an hour before our dinner at Sun with the Moon while waiting for the rest.

#Azuki and Hazelnut

I love Hazelnet Mocha @ TCC. My favourite drink, all-time-favourite. Imma coffee addict yet coffee never manage to keep me awake. I'll still be able to sleep with or without it. I really need to jog before my layers of fat pile up like sandwiches. It's been layering lately and I am kind of worried about my upcoming trip to Taiwan. I have a heavy luggage to manage, a few more layers of fats will slow down my movements. How sad.

Settled down at the sofa seats before our gossip session began. We headed to Wheelock Place to meet the rest after our high tea session ended.

In the midst

7th September 2013
Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever. We'll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of celebration that never can end.

It was Carl's birthday. Yep, it's over and I officially announced that he's one year older despite himself claiming to be 18 (Totally impossible from the vivid amount of wrinkles around his eye lid and forehead). Thank god, he doesn't read my blog or else, he might strangle me anytime. Planned a birthday dinner for him that night. It was a tedious task because there were 8 of us.

Restaurants were rejecting me because of the big group. I wanted to invite more actually. I'm glad I didn't or else, I'll definitely be the one suffering in the end coz I did the booking and texting to everyone. Sun with the Moon was the only restaurant outlet willing to accept my reservation.

A glimpse of hope for me after making desperate calls to different restaurants for 3 consecutive days. Thank god, I have Vivian to help me out. She googled for restaurants at work, while I made the calls. She bombed restaurants with calls too when I had too many on list to be called. Best assistant ever.

#Sean with the Birthday Boy (Man or Uncle), Carl

I knew that they would be late FOR SURE. Lol, I am very sure. No doubt for Qian too. I informed everyone to reach at 7pm while I made reservations for 8 pax at 730pm. I'm absolutely right about everything. Vivian and I were chilling out at TCC when Sean, Carl texted to update me about their late arrival. Laugh out loud.

Javen was really late because he had to work. Poor boy, a pat for him on his back. Jiayou jiayou.

#Happy Birthday Carl

Happy Birthday Carl, I hope you had an enjoyable dinner that night. May you win mah-jong and strike Toto. Party less and get married real soon while you still look young (slightly). I am glad to have you as a friend even though you only know how to party, eat and shit. Take care and good luck.

Have a nice day.

Pzy

Until you learn to love yourself

Ultimate sophistication

19th July 2013
Simplicity is making the journey of this life with just baggage enough.

Finally, it was the day I collected my NRIC at the ICA building. You gonna be surprise about what I gonna write next. I lost my NRIC on a New Year Eve. You can never believe how chaotic that night was. I went to party with a big group of friends (A group of more than 15). We opened a bottle of Belvedere in canon size and a mid-size bottle of Hennessy. I could not remember how much I drank that night. I was drunk and my friend who took care of me, dropped my clutch. You must have thought that I suffered a great loss. You're wrong. My camera was with Edmund and my handphone was with Javen or bf-to-be (Not too sure either coz I had a hangover). I only lost some cash and my NRIC. Lucky me, always.

#Bf and I, Funny faces

I made a police report and had been dragging the remake of my card because of that dreadful distance. Gosh, Lavender MRT Stn is damn far from my place. Teng even went the extra mile to accompany me there. After the remake, I was lazy to collect my NRIC. That simply gave Teng and bf a big headache. They were so worried that the NRIC gonna expire again and I'll be fined 100 bucks more for that. Yep, I paid 100 bucks for the remake. They had been repeating about the collection on and on like it's haunting me. Even so, I lived in my world and heck care about the incident. Then bf decided to drag me there for collection regardless of how dreadful and reluctant I was. Here I was, at the ICA building (above picture).

Yes, I collected it finally.

 photo IMG_4054.jpg
#Curry Rice

After my NRIC collection, I had a simple brunch with bf at Ma Maison. It was a really nice meal I was so addicted to the lettuce (free flow). I remembered there's another Japanese restaurant serving free flow of lettuce. Well, Ma Maison serves a better quality of food in my opinion. Yummies.

 photo IMG_4052.jpg
#Tempura with cutlet

The food comes in very big portion. Indigestion hits me especially when I love rice. I am forever addicted to rice especially those pearl rice. Bf and I went to E2Max to play Kinect for some digestion session (Exercise to exhaust the heavy meal though we know it's not right to exercise right after meal). Well, you should know there's nothing much to do at town. Singapore is a boring place. Lalalala...

Have a great day.

Cheers,
Pzy

Cooling wind

16th August 2013
Sadness flies on the wings of the morning and out of the heart of darkness comes the light.

It was a fine morning I woke up really early to have my brunch because sister's birthday is around the corner and I want to get a gift for her. Bf brought me to Kith Café located Park Mall. The popular one was located at Robertson Quay.

The breakfast was great but the portion was too big for me. We went to shop around Plaza Singapura for a suitable gift. I got her a clutch from ALDO and some makeup set from Sephora. We headed home. I went out with family to Kushinbo for buffet dinner while bf went to school.

Good day, everyone.

Salsa

8th June 2013
Life changes fast. Life changes in the instant.

Vivian came across a beach party buffet. It was a little overpriced (in fact, not worth the price), still we went ahead with it. There was a limited variety of food, even so, the seafood was really fresh. Not so bad after all. The only concern was the space. The outdoor area was not spacious enough. Still, we had a great time catching up.

I just came to realise that I miss out this particular post. It was definitely way behind time. Anyway, I am meeting Teng this coming Sunday and she wants waffle. I'm so looking forward towards this because I believe her butt had been itching for quite sometime. Oh no, I'm craving for Korean food and Xiao Long Bao. Not a good before my flight to Taiwan, it's so sinful.

Have a good day.

Optional growth

30th August 2013
Excellence is not a singular act but a habit.

 photo IMG_4385.jpg
#District One

It was a Friday's night and mw suggested heading to District One. I felt as if I had fallen into a big trap upon entering the club. Despite my old age, I always like R&B clubs. Thai disco or places like Shanghai Dolly or Planet don't really interest me. Then "one fine day", Mw was bragging about a nice place (you know where) claiming that it has the coolest hit and great DJs with free entry. She had always been into R&B and I didn't expect the sudden change in her liking. It turned out disappointing upon our arrival. The crowd was totally different unlike the usual one we've been too. There were foreigners, tourist, office lady, we even saw ladies in Latin and Zumba (a kind of dance) costume. It seemed chaotic to me. The DJ must be trapped in some difficulty not knowing what songs to spin with such a crowd. Nothing against this place because I believe there are people who like this place. Most probably, I'll never wish to step into this place again. Dream(night club) is still the best in my mind.

Have a great day.

Cheers,
Pzy

Valuable possession

l0th August 2013
Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.

My bestie had been given free movie tickets for The Girl in Pinafore. Nevertheless, we were forever on his mind and he never fail to share. But, he was kind of humorous in a way. Movie started at 230pm and he arranged to meet at 230pm without updating us the actual timing of the movie. Silly us were taking our own sweet time thinking that he had set the time to an earlier timing. Great, everyone ended up late except bestie and his gf. Laugh out loud.

#The late ones

Huiyee was totally ridiculous. She came all the way to Junction 8 despite being out of the way for the sake of free movie tickets. Worse, she went off right after the movie (Jialat... lol...) She's a busy woman with endless newsfeed in her facebook about her check-ins with different people.

We went separate ways after the movie. It was a great movie with interesting and unforgettable childhood. I shall end here for the day.

Have a good day ahead.

Curiosity

New people

30th June - 1st July 2013
The most important trip you may take in life is meeting people halfway.

We stayed over at his aunt's place the previous night because our hotel hunt mission failed terribly due to weekends. As you see, KL is a popular place that most Singaporeans flock to. It's a shopping heaven (I personally find it better than Singapore.) Most of the hotels are fully booked weeks beforehand. Poor us, stranded in town. Anyway, it didn't matter because his aunt resides near town. It's just a 30 minute driveaway.

I just can't resist Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh. According to bf, it was one of the best in Malaysia. I had to agree to it because I love it much. We wanted to have it for dinner last night but everything was sold out except for 2 or 3 dishes only (Good business).

I was kind of sad, but bf drove me to Pao Xiang at Shah Alam  in the afternoon. They have all dishes but they ran out of fried dough sticks (Sigh...). The soup base was extremely tasty and I was craving for it at all time.

 photo IMG_3888-1.jpg
#Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh

After our  sumptuous lunch, we made our way to Genting Highland. It was probably a less than 2 hour driveaway without jam. I kept mentioning about a cornered restaurant beside a small mushroom farm near Genting Highland. Genting Highland used to provide free shuttle bus to this place. It was not a grand restaurant but 煮炒. The price is relatively cheap there.

Unfortunately, Genting Highland had terminated the shuttle services to the place. I heard rumors that there were still shuttle services available despite verifying with the staff. Anyway, bf drove me to the place.

 photo IMG_3889.jpg
#煮炒

The place cannot be seen along the road. It was a 5 minute driveaway, and you had to keep a lookout and turn left. Fortunately, bf managed to find the place for me when I was about to give up. He probably enjoyed the fun of driving up and down instead.

#Pops

After a heavy dinner, bf bought some pops to play. We used to play the ones wrap around with tissue and you had to throw it hard on the ground to here a "piak" sound. The ones we played was a little different. We used an incense to light the tail of the colourful balls. You will see small flames and sparks that go on for seconds before it all ended. I had a fun time playing.

 photo IMG_3907.jpg
#Back to Genting Highland

There were many new shopping outlets when we were there. I believe it's gonna get better each day. We walked around before heading to the Snow World. The Snow World had been renovated. It was better but dangerous for the slides. I used to play at the Old Snow World. The safety measures were good at then but not the new one. The new one had pricky fence along the side of the slide. The pricks scratched my thigh as I was on my way down from the slide. My thighs were badly scratched after playing the slide for a few times. Be careful if you are heading to the Snow World. Wear a jeans instead. I went in with shorts, that explained my minor cuts.

 photo IMG_3913.jpg
#Bubble and Bites

We headed to Bubble and Bites to chill. It was quite a new restaurant as I had not seen it before during my previous trip. The exterior attracted me much. We had 2 vodka and a pizza. The pizza came in a big portion for 2-3 pax. The friendly staff gave us a gentle reminder on the portion as we ordered a side dish as well. We cancelled the side dish upon reminder. The portion was big indeed.

#Souvenir List

I had been wanting to share something interesting about the hotel. I was shock and amazed to find the souvenir list. Bf spotted it first and I took a snapshot of it. You can actually buy the television and other stuffs in the room at the price stated in the above. I didn't expect a lousy television to cost RM3840. Eyes widened to the maximum.

I bought myself a pair of bathroom slippers. It was cute in leopard prints even though I am not a fan of leopard prints. I like it much. We wasted our movie tickets and slept through the night because we were tired and worn-out.

I'm not a fan of yoghurt ice-cream. This caught my attention because it was on a stick and they simply look irresistibly cute. As for the taste, it was really sour and bf finished the whole stick for me.

#Bf and me

After some last minute shopping, we had a light dinner at a ramen restaurant. I could not find the pictures. Too many pictures in a cell phone can be a pain in the ass. We were caught in a terrible traffic jam. I will never be able to understand the reasons for jam when there's no accident and ERP. Bf had to cut from lanes to lanes so that we can catch our bus home. Poor me, reaching Singapore at an unearthly hour 5am when I had to work at 8am. It was an enjoyable trip. Looking forward to my next road trip.

Have a nice day.

Pzy
