Day 3 in Korea, Jeju (Part 2)

2nd December 2010

I'm so sorry to break my post into different parts always. I had no choice because there are too many pictures. Each time I paste my code or type a few lines, my laptop will lag for a few seconds. I guess massive pictures could be the main cause of it. Anyway, do bear with it. Here I am, with Part 2. Yes, we are going for the Submarine Tour. There were 2 Submarine tour choices, we picked the slightly expensive one for it's good location. It's near to the Eros Museum which can save some cost in transport. I'm really looking forward to it as it's my first time in a Submarine. I'll never forget the experience.

Till then, I realised I had seasick. This had never occured to me before and I'm so shocked by my own reaction too. Yah, it's drizzling and we ran as fast as we could, before we hopped onto a cab. Here we go, to the pier. We got our tickets at our hotel conceirge. It's 70 bucks plus, after discount, it's only about 48 bucks I guess. It's been quite a while, I can't remember it that well either.

I'm drenched from head to toe. I thought the rain might damage my Zara coat since it's not waterproof. Thank God, it's fine. It dried up really fast. It's quite of good quality I guess.

For your information, there's nothing to eat here. Bf being naive thought there might be some food over here, so am I. In fact, we were wrong. BIG MISTAKE. There's nothing to eat over there. Let's not even think about warm and cozy restaurant, there isn't any foodcourt either. Basically, we were damn famished after running under quite a heavy rain. Could our mood be any better? I doubt so.

Tiny stalls (2 only) are all you can get over here. They got homemade sandwich, bread, chips, biscuit and hot coffee that could be expensive like mad. It's understandable since they monopolised the entire area. All the revenue plus earnings goes to them. Oh my goodness, I can linked marketing strategies with monopolies. LOL.

Guess what the FUCK I wanna say now?

Their burgers were matha-fucking disgusting.

I had no choice but to finish it. I had not had anything since the morning. There's no restaurant near Eros Musuem and we woke up later than the usual. Furthermore, we'll be taking the submarine later on, it's better to fill my tummy. Each time I swallowed the mouthful of sandwich, the urge to puke is god damn strong.

It's the most disgusting sandwich I ever had.

YUCKS!

Photobucket
I'm about to puke anytime.

This is the waiting area before boarding. The alignment made me thought of some clinic or consultation area. It's just so CLINIC.

This is where you could purchase your boarding pass.

My boots were wet. I'm glad no water sipped into my shoes. Else the weather being cold might freeze them anytime.

Being random, we took shots of hotel key.

Photobucket

The crowd was coming in.

Photobucket

To my surprise, the captain could speak english here. No worries for travellers. *Thumbs up, yeah* They gave us quite alot of attention upon knowing we were travellers when we spoke english.

Photobucket

Yeah, my most excited moment had arrived. TIME FOR BOARDING.

Photobucket
We boarded a small ferry that would bring us to the submarine.

This is almost the same as the one I took to Batam with Yann. I'm not sure if the waves and current was stronger or not, I just felt very giddy. Ok, you can say giddier than the usual rides. I had the strong urge to vommit. I tried my best to control, thinking this would be over soon once I reached the submarine, hell no, I'm wrong.

Photobucket

Sorry, not much scenic photo since the weather was bad.

Photobucket
Yes, that was the submarine (below). We got to climb a flight of stairs to the bottom of the submarine. Oh it's not stairs, I guess I got to call it a ladder instead. I'm wearing heels and it's so hard to climb down because I hardly felt anything beneath my shoes. The helpful staff grab my foot and made sure it's secured on the ladder before I continue the next steps. They are so kind.

Photobucket
Here we are in the submarine.

Photobucket
We got 45 metres to the bottom on the seabed. It's so cool.

Photobucket

While moving downward, my seasick worsen. I might puke anytime. So far, I managed to control by searching for fishes as distraction. It helps so far.

Here, you'll be able to see on the TV as the submarine goes into the water.

You will get to see beautiful corals and fishes. It's rather hard to take good picture in the submarine, therefore I took some videos for myself too. The fishes swam pass the glass, it's all so beautiful and lovely, I can say.

The ride lasted for 45 minutes.

At the end of the day, they will give you a photo as complimentary. This is something I like about this ride. They took picture for you, chose the best shot among 3, made sure your eyes don't blink and semi-closed. They printed not just one copy, but one for each passengers. How nice?

It's totally worth the price!!!

That's a beautiful bridge. You know what?

During my trip, it made me realised how small SG was. It made me felt as though I was a frog living in a deep deep well. Each time, they build a new bridge, or a ferris wheel, people just got very excited over it. The truth is, there's no need for such excitement. Such things are everywhere in Korea, and other countries. I always thought SG has many beautiful bridges till I'm in Korea. You can easily spot 3 to 5 of them which could be 10 times larger/longer.I'm so glad that I got a chance to get close to such interesting exposures.

We wanted to take a bus back to our hotel since we cabbed here. There wasn't any bus stop in sight. We approached one of the captain. Woah, he could speak good english. It was nice of him to get his car and sent us the the bus stop personally (There were just the both of us in the car). He send us to the bus stop (quite a distance actually) and taught us what bus to board. Isn't he friendly?

If you were going on Free & Easy. Approached them, I guess they would have done the same thing.

Photobucket

The bus fare was just 1500 won.

I'm so glad that we got back to our hotel. I'm still suffering from seasick though I had alight. The thought of the disgusting sandwich in my tummy, digesting in process disgusted me even further.

What's next?

I VOMMIT!!!

WTF, it's so disgusting!!!

Photobucket

What's up next?

We headed to Lotte World Hotel. It's mad expensive, but if you can afford; you might wish to stay there. It's poise and all the staffs could speak good english. It has all the amenitites like shopping or even entertainment. As for us, we went to the CASINO.

We played Jackpot, mmm won alittle bit bit (which went to our dinner, lol) We were there for quite long, I guess. A few hours or even longer. LOL.

The Casino.

Photobucket
It was then we got famish. We went for our dinner. I had bibimbap while bf had his soybean soup with seafood. We went back to Casino again. LOL. Addictive gamblers. It doesn't matter anyway, we aren't underage. We went into the Casino openly.
