The momentum

5th November 2011
A glorious morning of fufillment.

After all the activities, bf decided on a Korean Restaurant that is a short distance drive away only. I read online that there was this very famous Uncle Jang restaurant. Unfortunately, that wasn't the one I gonna try despite it's good reputation and critiques. If you ever stepped foot in Korea, you would definitely love the authentic tasting of food. You will sure be able to define the good and bad.

The one we were trying is located in a Bungalow. Some sort like an in-house restaurant. We called it 私房菜 in chinese. I'm not sure about how it's being translated into English. You can try, by all means. Haha. It's definitely authentic. Boring and attention-seeking us actually ended up chatting with the host. They are really nice couple who used to live in Seoul and later settled down in Desaru for it's serenity and peacefulness. They had children studying in USA that explains the big and quiet house. The auntie then decided to share her delicious cooking with everyone and begin her in-house business to kill time.

As usual, bf would order beef.

Trying to be cheeky while waiting for my food. Yum, yum.

You can see many expensive collection of ginseng. It's quite common to see in a korean's house. They would usually add a little of herbs to their food for own consumption. Good for health, I guess.

You got to really try it out here. It's been a long long time since I last ate authentic kimchi. This was NICE and exactly the ones we had when we were in Korea.

My favourite soy bean paste soup. The one we had was non-spicy unlike the usual ones. We asked the auntie about it and was told that not many locals like the spicy ones. Therefore, you must put on request if you wish to try the spicy ones. No worries, the auntie can speak english.

I had a delightful meal while bf cleared the entire hot plate of beef (bulgogi).

The uncle was really nice and he even offered to drive us back to our hotel. So nice of him. The couple has one cat, well, I don't really like cat. Amazingly, they got 4 dogs and 4 puppies. Awww, so lovable. I love big dogs.

If you are interested, you can approach the staff at the Resort. The meal cost us about RM100 plus. Just tell them about an in-house Korean Restaurant and they will be pleased to call a cab for you. The cab ride cost RM20 inclusive of waiting time. The driver will pick you up an hour later. Remember to pay on the return trip, just in case they never return to pick you up. I mean, you never know and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Cheers,
Pzy
