Chaos among chaos

3rd September 2011
Chaos was the score which realilty had written down

Let me recap a little on my previous post for Kuala Lumpur trip. It was totally fun, absurd and happening like it's no way to be true. Unfortunately, the seed of chaos was sowed deeper than the ocean and wild like a runaway car. The staff carried our stuffs to the new apartment reluctantly. Misery was written all over his face. Every single little gesture made me understood how he was red with anger. Too bad, every single little gesture of his was absolutely infuriating beginning with that unfriendly stern looking face. You click here to read my previous post (Day 1 Part 1, Part 2)

Anyway, it's my customer's right to retrieve my rights and I got all the says. To be honest, I wish to tell everyone that I'm not totally in the right too. When you are overseas, it's always best to remain neutral. To be exact, try to bear with things around no matter how unhappy you are. Although it's KL, whether it is KL, Bangkok, Australia, USA or any countries, it's always best not to offend people. I'm sure you heard of "it's better to be safe than sorry". You never know what's gonna happen the next second. It's just a friendly tip here.

In fact, I did stack my head high on pillow over the night and made reflections of our actions and attitude. I seldom got myself into hot soup especially when I'm overseas. The atrocious issues from dawn till task might be the source of fire.

Let me introduce you to my new apartment for our perfect stay. It's twice or maybe thrice the size of our hotel room, definitely big and spacious enough for us to run about up and down. It's awesome. Right behind the television was our cozy bed room. You can just tuck right into the comfy bed, spin the television around and knocked out instantly. As for Mw, she took up the entire coach for her beauty sleep. 90% of the time she was on the couch and I ended up having no chance to slack on it.

We had stoves and big fridge for all yummies stock up. We even had a dining area which I forgotten to take a picture of it. Mw was dying to cook. It's mad awesome to have a cooking area especially during a long stay. We had only 3 days 2 night, so we opted for the forgo option. Still, Mw was dying to try. I seriously pondered deep about what she gonna cook or can cook other than instant food. Overall, the kitchen was new, clean and perfect. We even had oven for pizza and pasta.

If I had a higher budget, I would have book Swiss Garden Residence too. It's definitely more than SGD200 a day unless you can whack it off from internet with a super discounted price.

Photobucket

We had a study corner. It's perfect for Mw who wanted to chiong (rush) her assignment during the trip.

Photobucket

This was our little bedroom that looked really cozy. Everything was great except a little stuffy as our room was newly renovated and might be vacant for sometime. We had 2 air-cons but the room was still warm. Mw was the one to blame for opening the window overnight. Apparently cold air escape into the atmosphere. I'm absolutely not used to sleep in warm environment. I need to hibernate like a polar bear, cozy and cooling underneath the thick cozy blanket as I snuggle with pillow, grab them with my legs and arms like I'm holding on to a tree trunk. Sighed...

Photobucket

We had a better safe here. Unfortunately, the second misfortune began. The room was so new that it was not activated. Once again, we had to bombard the conceirge with calls. It was then something interesting happened, either the phone wasn't activated or the conceirge detested us so much that they failed to answer our calls. Fuming mad, Yan and I stormed down and chant chant chant. Lol, I'm kidding. We got the man to fix everything up eventually.

Photobucket

Our walk in wardrobe. BIG!

Photobucket

That was our bathroom, amazingly big and there's the big window behind shower. You can shower and slack on the man-made pool or bath tub with a beautiful sight scene. I believe Mw got the absolute guts to do so. I will preferred to wind up the curtain and not expose anything naked to the public causing obscenity. Lol.

Photobucket

We requested for amenities to be brought over.

Photobucket

That was the man-made bath tub Mw intend to soak within. She must have planned it! Haha.

Photobucket

We struggled and repacked everything in order till 3am. It's 4am, finally everyone was sleeping on a clothesline tucked underneath our own blanket doing different styles of kungfu.

- - - - - - - - - -

I had a big problem here. I couldn't wake up at all, I'm dead tired. My souls and heart left me instantly after the night and I'm clueless about my natural reaction. Our alarms began to ring in a consecutive manner. Mine was the loudest and it was placed for from me. I'm so uneager to retrieve it, but Yan told me to off it. I crawled unwillingly to my phone and I was so tired that I fell asleep before I could off it entirely. I ended up sleeping with it held tight in my hands. Since then, everyone increase their immunity towards my alarm. Nothing could ever wake them up.

Finally it's 8 plus, Yan sat up beside me. I was freaking tired plus the room was mad warm. I sat up beside her and teared. I went back to sleep in guilt behind her back. She ended up lying in bed too.

No matter what's the hour, what's the time; it's still time for rise and shine and we had our breakfast at the hotel buffet restaurant. It's complimentary breakfast we purchased upon booking of hotel.

The breakfast was a fabulous one. After our breakfast, we went back to our hotel for the final wash up before we set off to do some nice shoppings. Here's some nice pictures around the apartment.

They got rooftop swimming pool that reminds me of Marina Bay Sand. There's gym and sauna. I'm sure it's gonna be enjoyable to stay at the apartment.

Awesome environment.

I shall end it here.

Have a nice day.

Fortune or fortune

I was sitting by a quiet corner in my room, trying to grasp some fresh air before crowd began pouring into my room. It was then I overheard voices from my television that captivated my full attention. It was then an urge or a strong feeling of opposing came across my mind. Thoughts began streaming into my mind and I began to analyse things out. The television programme (about debate) motivated me mentally and physically.

I just dont understand why scumbags exist in the world. There are people who get chances to be educated refused to be educated. There are millions or billions of people who yearn to be educated  fail to grab such chances. Kids living in the city are bound to be love and protected. What's the probability of them getting chances to have a real taste in life?

Living in Singapore made me realised how sinful I am or maybe we are. You might not read my thoughts but I do have a different perspective from my view. Maybe I'm weird. I tend to whine about how unhappy my life is, or even how unsatisfied I am. The fact is that, yeah, it's true. But, I strongly believe I'm born fortunate.

I wasn't born with a silver spoon, neither do I wish to. I accepted my fate and I'm glad I had the chance to such exposure. In fact, I'm proud about what I had went thru. It's not a black mark but a gold medal of my life. My parents weren't rich during my childhood. I worked hard to pay for my dreams. From piano to "O" level to diploma and allowances. Nothing comes by easily unless you really put in effort. I met storms and rain from time to time and breaking down from period to period. I went through a hard time, that makes me optimistic about life. I'm really happy for who I am. I had no intention to be someone else.

In other country, there are children who had to give up studying. A family of four used to live in peace and harmony. It was a fortunate and happy family when the mother passed away eventually due to cancer. The father had no good education and worked as a construction site worker. Still, he tried his best to give his 2 children, son and daughter the best living condition that he could give. Eventually he was diagnosed with kidney failure. He had to make a choice, either his son or daughter had to give up in his/her studies. He was in a dilema when his son volunteered to give up his chance to study. He gave this precious opportunity to his sister. At the age of 15, he had no education background. He had to work so as to lighten his father's workload and stress. He worked in a construction site eventually. Even so, he tried his best to save up for night classes.

We, the fortunate ones tend to overlook about the fortune we had. The fortune ain't referring to wealth but the precious things that we had held in our hands but we failed to grab them tight. That's why I'm very disappointed when I see children who refuse to study when they had the chances, blaming their parents for not giving them a good brain and talent.

Everyone owns fortune, but it only matters if we know the fortune we had.

Never take things for granted, you work heard to reach your goals.

Soar high, and you will fly high.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing

2nd September 2011
Fight fire with fire to the good content

Once again, it's rise and shine (I'm just kidding) before we continued our journey of the day. It took us a short fine moment to get done with packing. It's a fabulous room, to our likings, to our loves. I shall not complain about it. Till then, you will read about how misfortune could get us to. It's spinning us round and round. I simply can't stop imagine how we get things settled and over our dead tired yet worned out bodies.

Photobucket

We were all mad famish. Road works going on everywhere near Swiss Garden Hotel during our stay that made the travel trip rocky. I mean the road though. Constructions going on and some left undone at a corner. Anyway, it's definitely way exciting to make our way to Bukit Bintang. We dashed across busy road with ferocious vehicles speed pass and by us. It's definitely thrilling as you never know when they gonna grab your bags and get gone. It's kind of common cases in Malaysia. I doubt you can retrieve it back once it's gone. Y'know, gone means gone; gone for good.

We randomly walked about and decided to settle our meals at Nando. LOL, it turned out to be a bad experience. Anyway, I never really had interest in Nando's @ Singapore either. Not that tempting afterall. Msia's Nando's aint any better. I just it might be just US, not getting use to the taste of the food. From the first tasting, you definitely know they added spices commonly used by the local. We ain't used to that. Anyway, it's not worth trying unless you are a fan of Nando's.

Super duper diluted drinks. Tard even found dirt at the corner of her cup. Gross.

Looks great, but sucks inside.

Next, we began our shopping spree which wasn't worth blogging about unless you wanna poor quality fashion show or unglam self shot. You gonna love the place if you like shopping at Far East Plaza or Bugis Street. It's definitely cheaper than SG. Mw bought numerous dress costing ten bucks or less per piece. I bought none tops except some cute home clothes for pyjamas use. Nah, it ain't those sexy kinds. I'm not into those. Probably some big hoodies with a giant kitty at the front will be good enough for me.

I got super small feet.

As small as size of 5 or maybe 4, and I'm wearing only size 3 for converse shoes. It's damn amazing on my first buy of converse shoes. Anyway, it's not the length of my feet. It's the wideness that makes it small to the max. Most people got fleshy feet and common shoes had been catered to such cutting. Mine's too small for them. The only good about having small feet, less flesh is that you gonna feet well into heels. Even if you are wearing sandals or open toes shoes, there's not gonna be any excess flesh oozing out of the base of your shoes. Sigh, I still prefer normal pumps. It'd be good if they are willing to bring in Size 3.

Photobucket

It's really tiring to walk around. Fortunately, we found a bubble tea shop. Silly Mw requested no sugar added. It's the craziest and worst decision of all. She had some plum flavour drink (can't remember what it is), so sour that you can hardly open your eyes. By the way, it's sure good for cleansing and digestion. I had a small sip that made me nearly spit everything out of my mouth. It took me seconds to gulp it down. It's a torture. Tard had pudding milk tea, thumbs up. I had passion fruit, not bad though. I'm sure it's not as bad as Mw's. Yes, she loves fibre intake and I guess, sour shall be the best thing for her. Hope she gets all her fibre intake needed. I'm glad she's too busy to read this.

Photobucket
Nexts up, Famous Amous cookies that no one could have resist the aroma. I'm so surprised to see Famous Amous selling ice-cream. It's probably me, the only frog living in the well that doesn not know what's going on, on earth. You can't blame me for my stupidity because I had never seen any in Singapore. If there is, please tag on my tagboard and point it out for me. I'll be gratefull and glad to try.
Photobucket

It's not really ex. SGD2 or slight more for just a cone. It's definitely worth trying. Eh eh, I just wanna be honest, and say things dear to heart. Ice-cream in Singapore is quite expensive to me actually. One Swensen cone can simply cost you more than 5 bucks. If you are looking for some better quality ones, it might be more expensive.

Photobucket

We went on shopping and shopping. Tard got a common feet size of 37 and 38 which was uber great. Shoes are always available in such sizes. She whacked out 2 or 3 pairs from rack at one go, 20 bucks (SGD) each. It's the perfect pricing that I never had to ponder deep before buying. Just whack and go.

We had dinner at A&W. It's something that must never be missed. Singapore got no A&W. Well, use to have but I had no idea when they began to vanish one by one. I love their hotdogs bun, curly fries and waffles. It's so delicious.

Photobucket

One more, Root Beer Float!!!

Time to dig in....

Photobucket

Last picture before I ended the day.

We went back to the hotel, took our shower and had some refreshments. The next moment, we were all hopping mad about the hotel. It's probably not the problem of the hotel. Tard and my 8-characters definitely clashed, not in characteristic wise by the luck. We were damn unfortunate (you can called that suay if you want in hokkien) when we got tgt. When there's a 3rd person around, I'm glad the person survived the disastrous ordeal. We had cases like bus breakdown which happened twice or maybe an innocent party that broke his or her shoes for no reason. Somehow you can say that, even when we nail something to a wall, it will drop after some days. It's not very unexpected though.

Remember my first post about a change of bus from WTS to Five Star?

That's the first symptom and we sensed more to be coming. I was just blabbering over the phone with Tard about it and now it all came true like a fairy tale like. Not the positive part, but the negative ones. Mw brought her netbook so that she could complete the assignment. The network for the entire building was down for the day.

Why was that so? WHY? WHY? WHY?

Not the day before, not the day after, but the day we checked-in. I forgotten to mention, I even lost my hotel vouchers that I remembered I had placed it in the private compartment of my bag. Till then, I suspected myself for leaving it home on my study desk. Unfortunately, upon my return, I searched for it upside down and it's not in my room. Apparently, there's no explaination to this. All I could say is, it vanished all of a sudden. Sigh, let's get back to the commotion we had about.

I called the conceirge and told them to resolve the problem. They promised to get it done by 7am, but Mw needs it urgently. Anyway, it's not supposed to be down. I called them and they showed me attitude. That's a grave mistake they had made. The staff offered to let Mw had a 3hour stay in the Swiss Garden Apartment (Something like a suite). I found it to be unreasonable. So they expected Mw to travel to the apartment in the next building on her own while Tard and I slept in the hotel. It's freaking absurd and dangerous.

I can never leave my friend in lurge and danger.

I rant over the phone and they apologised non-stop about their mistake. But Mw need to submit her assignment, so we die-die had to get things DONE with immediate effect. We found the terms and conditions the their book stating about network issues. Mw brought the cable to the conceirge and we simply had it out with them. Still they offered to let Mw stay in the apartment for 3 hours wireless.

Worst, they later on offered one day stay. They suggested that we move in the apartment and the next day in the hotel. This is pretty "fabulous" man.

It's about 1am plus when we argued which means in less than 7 hours time, we had to pack up and checked-out so as to checked-in  into the hotel rooms again. They simply don't think with their brains. Probably malfunction in the middle of the night when such issue arised. So I suggested that they either get the network issue resolved immediately or let us stay in the apartment. They were caught dumbfounded and had not choice but to let us our way.

We were not unreasonable people. But checking in and out, repacked and unpacked more than 4 times each in a single day should be unacceptable. It's not even logical when you come to think about it. We chose that hotel for it's good location and free internet and they gave me such a big pile of shit. The manager was polite and compromising though. The junior staff was freaking rude, mad crude and he raised his beautiful voice at me. Cool yea, he wanna try, I shall let him have a good taste of my medicine too. I'm not a good pushover either.

He simply told us to pack in a nasty and horrible way. He said...

"Go up and pack now!"

See my exclaimation mark? It's rude alright. I'm not picking on him. He then pulled a long face telling me how impatience he was about us. Whatever and ever, I don't care. I just need the internet that's it. Mw was in a hurry to use the internet, so we got her someone to be her escort. She was escorted all the way to the apartment. I'm sure she was safe and sound. Tard and I were no pushover, we were not gonna pack our stuffs.

Crazy! We just came back from a shopping spree and had our showers just a while ago only. Our necessaties like cleanser, moisturizer, perfume, shampoo and etc were lying all around the room. Our merchandise had not been unpacked, lying in the plastic bags where they came from. Our clothes had been hanged in the wardrobe and things had been locked up in the safe. It's gonna take us way long to get things done. They junior staff showed no good face to us either. So we...

Photobucket

We placed all our bags on the couch. As for the neccessaties, I thought I was kind enough to get him a tray. I just placed everything on the tray. I'm not trying to be nasty. The bottles were all wet, you definitely didn't expect us to sit at a corner, drying every single corner of our bottles.

Photobucket

Unloaded hangers of clothes for him too.

Photobucket

By the way, my story had not come to an end. It's just the chorus not the ending. We were about the retrieve our valuables from safe when we realised it JAMMED! Now you see what I'm getting about? That's when unfortunate and misfortune met, just like planets clashing the earth. A great metaphor to me. I wanted to ring them up when I realised, no cable as Mw had returned the cable at the conceirge. Poor me had to use the phone in the toilet and asking for assistance.

You're amazing, just the way you are (For Swiss Garden, lol)

Photobucket

He then transferred the stuffs from the hotel room to the apartment ANGRILY. Lol, I thought we should be the angry ones instead and not that fella. We moved into our new apartment. It's pretty nice and comfy. Mmm, just a little stuff because it's newly renovated. I thought we got a great deal.

Unfortunately, the safe in the new apartment was down too. Sigh, we had no one to blame. Just our luck, everything was expected. It was about 4am when we finally done with re-unpacking before getting to bed. I shall post pictures of the apartment in my next post.

Have a nice day and good luck.

To be or not to be

2nd September 2011
Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale her infinite variety

Lady Luck never fail to stop her smile at us. There was numerous time whereby I thought to myself what could have gone wrong to cause endless misery yet happening moment. Misery dawn on us from glistening shine to tusk. I had been telling myself, it's just coincidence, nothing's gonna happen despite our endless joke about our misfortune. Perhaps, I had accepted this in silence.

We booked our coach tickets from WTS Travel Agency, while hotel from Agoda. I'm born with neither a silver nor a golden spoon. Every single trip meant deeply to me, near or far, so be it. I don't expect luxury, just a comfy coach ride and cozy hotel room could be more than enough. I checked pricing to ensure we are paying for what we are getting. This made easy for group travels.

Let me kicked off from where my sixth sense displayed bad phenomenom. It was when WTS called Tard 2 days before date of departure regarding a change of coach. It's absurd, what's the probability of coach breaking down or not in service. Without further notice, we got changed to Five Star Agency. Instead of boarding at Grand Hotel @ Orchard ( 20 minute bus distance from my house), we got to board our bus at Boon Lay Shopping Centre. It's definitely out of no where. Probably not even near to Jurong Point. We had no choice but to accept this in silence.

On the actual day of departure, silly me even left my IC and Mastercard (most essential) at home. Having no choice, I ran home to get them while Mw cabbed over to pick me up. It's so early in the morning that my eyes could hardly open. Cold wind and quiet street filled me with doubts about upcoming event that's unpredictable.

Tard hit the agency earlier than I expected. She attempted to collect boarding tickets upon her arrival but to no avail. The horrible Five Star Tour frontdesk staff simply shoo her off indirectly. She was forced to collect at 730am on dot and that left her in no good mood. We strolled around the place and went back to the booth. The queue was long and finally it's our turn, we got shunned off once again. The staff simply served their own customers ignoring our existence. I gulped down my anger, trying my best not to ruin this trip. Apparently, I'm a good mediator being able to hold  my cool and ensure peace.

Finally, we boarded the bus. Off we go, and let's forget about the morning unhappiness by welcoming the oncoming shopping loots that gonna enter our shopping bag one by one.

Photobucket

It's a peaceful journey except Mw being unable to focus on her school work. The poor girl brought her school assignment along with her during the trip.

The ride was smooth, definitely. Because the driver was driving at 65km/h. That was seriously infuriating. It took us 6 hours or more to hit Kuala Lumpur. I believed 6hrs would be more than enough to hit Genting. That fella was driving like a slowpoke that gave me a strong urge to grab Mw slipper and smacked his face like nobody business. Please allow me to be crude here, he wasn't slow, but madfucking slow.

Photobucket

We were finally reaching KL.

Here we go. I booked Swiss Garden Hotel through Agoda. I would say it's a mad sweet hotel, cozy for a short stay and convenient for shopping. I had no words to describe my last stay. Too good to be true though. It's a big organization that ranges from country to country. It happened that we were staying in the Malaysia Swiss Garden.

We had a 3days 2 nights stay in KL and it cost us only $309 inc of taxes etc. We had 3 beds and the room was big and spacious. Better than what I had expected. It's slightly expensive because I booked the Premier Executive which is suppose to be better than standard, deluxe and superior room.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The toilet was mad spacious. There was an individual room for shower, a private bath room and a spacious corner for bathtub. That means, all of us could stay in the bathroom performing different task together. Perfect for groupies and having 2 basins for washing up were definitely marvellous and cool.

Photobucket

Photobucket

All neccessaties had been provided. No worries, toothbrush and tooth paste will be changed upon room servicing everyday. You need not worry about basic stuffs like cotton bud. They even provide shaver. That's really thoughtful.

Photobucket

I'm more or less done about the hotel description. I shall continue about my trip some days later when I'm free. Shall blog again.

Have a nice day.
