The fabulous road trip

24th March 2012
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
It was one of my first ever road trip with Cassan. It was absolutely uncomparable to all I had encountered. Funniest thing I realised, Cassan was hugging on to her hp all along. She was on the google map 90% of the time. There was a new discovery about Cassan too, she was infatuated with Eng Neo Avenue. That was entirely her territory. From the way she described about Eng Neo Avenue, you might thought that Eng Neo was a friend of hers.

Cassan never had a hard time finding Riders Cafe. In fact, the entire ride was smooth and steady. It was till we were about to entre the bumpy road to the cafe, Cassan started to panic. Panicked stricken, she was pretty amaze about how quiet and deep Riders Cafe had been located. Anyway, she managed to handle everything except for one part. She had this special habit of taking 2 parking lot at a time. She took 2 lots and asked me if it's ok. I opened the door and told her she was right between 2 lots. That was pretty funny. She juggled between 2 lots. Yay! Done parking.

It was really nice but thick as well. It would be nice if you are looking for heavy tasting.

#Busy, busy. Checking out the google map.

Cassan broke out in cold sweat, badly traumatised. She was juggling with google map despite meal time. We intended to catch a movie in town and Cassan had never drove to town before. Practices make perfect. So, she went on with her google map, analysing her way to town.

The movie began at 1.15pm and we set off around 1245pm. It was an ultra rush. Worst, we made a wrong turn. We ended up on the route going back home. Along the wrong route, we met many Bus 190. Haha, we even joked about following the bus and we'll never go wrong. A round of applause to Cassan as she made things right in the end. Off we went for the show. A great show, yep.

After movie, we intended to have strictly pancakes, unfortunately, their operation hours ended at 3.15pm and resume only at 6pm. We went for another alternative, that's Victor's Kitchen. I recommended it many years back.

The entire road trip made Cassan on high I guessed. It's been quite a while since I saw her being her usual self. Let me recap alittle on a few weeks back. Oh ya, we went to Zouk a few weeks back. She was so high that she became the first to get drunk. I remembered vividly that she got difficulty standing upright. One last point, she vomitted on the cab. Nah, not the passengers' seat, in a plastic bag that she brought along. She must have predicted that coming. Ever since then, I labelled her as a drunkard.

We went on the wrong routes before arriving at Riders and now we even screwed up the orders. Haha, we wanted to order the glutinuous rice and we ended up with some dumplings. *Slams head* Lol.

This was the wrong order made. I'm glad it still taste fine. Else, it would be disastrous.

Strongly recommended by Cassan. It was delicious except the leaking part. The custard was so watery that it dripped onto my hand easily.

Next, we headed to Chinatown. I was confident about knowing the route there well. Cassan was suspicious and kept probing if I'm sure of that. We went straight to Chinatown without any map. How cool was that? Cassan no longer buried her head in google map. I even sourced out the multi storey carpark for her. Everything was perfect except parking at the 4th storey. It's Chinatown and there ain't any lift available. Climbing shall be the perfect exercise for the day. The thought of it made my leg wobbly.

We had desserts!

Yesh, I love durian ok. Some guys think that girls who self claimed that they love durians are unglamorous. I seriously don't care. It's not very often that my friends or buddies truly see me as a girl. I love durian very much in fact. Totally infatuated by it. Suddenly, I missed the awesome durian desserts at Goodwood Park.

Let me summarised this a little. It was a fabulous road trip, an exciting one especially when we kept moving on the wrong track. Despite so, it's a valuable lesson. We learnt as we made mistakes. A round of applause for Cassan. Level up in her driving skills and road recognition.

*Thumbs up, babe*

You can do it better.

Have a nice day ahead.

Cheers,
Pzy
