Bkk Day 6 - Grand Palace, Sarongs, Platinum, Clothes, AW, Sick

Early in the morning, we cabbed to Grand Palace right after breakfast. It was a very last minute decision as we couldn't really made up our mind of going Grand Palace or not since it's a sacred place. But still, we decided to take a look there. It's all for the sake of knowledge.

On entering the main entrance, we were told to rent sarongs as we were wearing shorts. So we went ahead with it. The fitting room was very crowded and we got a room for ourselves. We were stuck in the fitting room for more than 15 minutes.

Happenings:
It was our very first experience of wearing
sarongs. We seriously don't know how to go about wearing it. The length doesn't
seems to be right, and we can't figure out properly about the tying knots and
stuffs. We really had a hard time wearing the sarongs, helping one another
out.

Yan then decided to wear it high waisted. Well, new vintage style ~ good good.

We were all very paranoid that the sarong may drop anytime. Hahahahaha ~

Happenings:
Zy kept whining about an
ang-moh who kept praising her beautiful. It was scary
though.

It was really a very grand place. They even did renovation to keep the place going. Everyone was forbidden to access to upper storey.

The buidings had been there for over hundred years and it's still well kept till now.

Happenings:
While Zy was taking photo
of us, one of the ang-moh actually face his camera towards us and took a picture
of us. OMG, i really don't know what he was trying to do.

Happenings:
The ang-moh who took our pic
steathily offered to take photos for us as well. One photo exchange with one.
Fair enough.

We even went into their musuem to take a look at their weapons. No pictures as phototaking wasn't allowed in the museum. Their weapons were so much different from our own country. You can even see spears being damaged, which has been through war periods.
A man offered to take pictures for us. He was so kind to take two for us. He was actually holding on to a professional camera, but the result was a soso only. But he still offer to help us. Thanks lot.

I believe you see those little gold colour on the picture behind me(pic above). There weren't simple golden paint. In fact, they were of real gold. These were know as gold thins, which is a very thin layer of gold stick onto the wall.

We took a picture with the so-called soldiers on our right(pics above). He was giggling when were were walking near him.
Happenings:
Yan stood the nearest to him and we just went to
him one by one. I even said sorry and thank you before we went off and he almost
LOL.

He was a guard. He was not supposed to move at all times. I believe we were rather irritating to take his picture. Well, i doubt he mind. He seems happy though.

Next, we set off to chinatown seeking for our BIRD NEST *drools*
Yan wanted to pee urgently. So we went into a building. Totally like the People Park Centre. Even the smell was around the same. As usual, uncles everywhere.

Happenings:
We always called it Shao - mai, we were
rather shocked to see Shao-My. Hahahahaha ~
We ordered the mid quality. Zy was a bit reluctant until she thought of the quality. Well, i die die want to have the better one instead of the lousy ones. If you ganna the the SGD 5 bird nest, i doubt the content will be good enough.
Yi fen qian, Yi fen huo

Happenings:
We actually found a thread in the
jelly-fish. Eews... everyone stop eating suddenly.
Anywa, Chinatown wasn't really very interesting. You can consider giving up the idea of going there. But it's true, there were cheap bird nest stalls. They look rather rundown, therefore do picked a restaurant instead.
Next, we went platinum mall to shop again. This time round, Yan and I bought the most number of clothings. We were so hyper except Zy. She seems to be living in her own world wandering to somewhere else. Hahaha, she look a bit blur blur.
We went A&W next.

I ordered a deluxe burger(beef) while Zy and Yan order the chicken ones.
The waffle so nicer than the Gelare's.
It has been a very long time since i had A&W. My last try was at Ten Mile Junction during my secondary school days. It's a really pity to see it missing from Singapore.
Yan wasn't feeling very well. Her eyes were teary. So we cabbed back to our hotel to let her rest. If she gonna walked back, i guess someone will have to piggyride her back to hotel then.
Both Yan and I popped paracetamol before we went to sleep.
