Australia Day 3

It's my Day 3 in Gold Coast and i'm still damn thrilled over everything here. Woo-hoo, especially the weather over here. I seriously don't care about how dry it is, i enjoy the cool breeze and need not perspire.

Everytime when i walked along Orchard Road with Yann, we would perspire like dog. No, it should be worst than dog. Yan's palm would just leak non-stop. She would be happy if she was here with me in Australia.

The weather is so fine, so cool and so nice.

In Singapore, where do we normally get out breakfast or brunch?
Macdonald, KFC, Delifrance, must the most common ones are Kopitiam and Food Court.

Take a look at the picture below.

There is no such things called Kopithiam over here. Look at the Aussies, they are having great brunch isn't it. Having a nice weather, blueish sky, looking at cars, siting by the road enjoying their breakfast. It's a damn enjoyment.

Photobucket

Take a look at the 2 pictures on top.

Christopher told me that they were Audi Cars. Seriously, i know nothing about cars. If you were to talk to me about Suzuki Swift or Toyota, i might just gone blank anytime having no ability to answer you back.

I was told that, they were considered as one of the best cars.

How good?
No idea, as i don't think they could be found in Singapore.

Photobucket

Holding on to our bus tickets. We can't really returned to Surfer Paradise without the tickets. They consist of 2 ways, timings were clearly written on it.

I doubt i've told you about our next destination. We are going to the Movie World. Hahahha - Warner Bros Movie World. I'm damn excited over it as i can't wait to see Batman. Oh, i'm quite crazy over Batman and can't stop watch Batman 1 and 2 over and over again. I love "Dark Knight" the most, especially the Batman Car. It's so cool.

Photobucket

We reached finally.

Unlike the Aussies(local) over there, we have got our tickets bought earlier on. We don't really have to queue up again.

Photobucket

All we have to do is just "Scan & Go". Therefore i've been saying Singapore system is always bad. Everytime we went Sentosa or any other places blablabla, we always spend some time waiting for the usher to tear the tickets before we could enter.

Over here, they only scan your barcode. It's so much better and faster just like ez-link card.

Photobucket

We took this ride in Genting years ago. It's damn high and we've got no intention of taking it again. Once in a lifetime is enough, moreover Chris might pee in his pant anytime. He's afraid of height.

Photobucket

See how "Friendly" their roller coaster is.

I know, i know, you people might said that "Oh escape(SG) also got mah". Oh yeah yeah, that's bullshit to me. You might stood root to the ground upon watching how these theme park flung the people up and down, side by side. It's so much scarier than Escape, at least a hundred times. I doubt Taiwan could be scarier since "Ang-moh" countries are much more better in making this.

One accident, is more than enough to kill.

Photobucket

Next, we went for the Shrek Show. Oh, it's some 4D show actually.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Do you see the arrows pointing in the second picture below?

It's actually some interactive moving pictures. It shows how Shrek, Princess or Witch talked to each other individually. It's rather fun to see such moving screens since we haven't been able to experinced that in our country.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The talker just teased everyone and disturb us. Perhaps i can share with you some conversations which made us retard.

Talker: "Please fastern your seatbelt, otherwise you might suffer from fall"
(Everyone started looking for the seatbelt)
Talker: "Please let me know if you can't find your seatbelt."
It's rather obvious that everyone have got no seatbealt.
Talker: "Raised up your hand if you can't find it"
(Looking at one another and strangers suspiciously, we raised up our hand slowly)
Talker: "Can't find your seatbelt?"
Talker: "Because there's not seatbelt in the first place"

It was lame, but everyone was laughing.

Photobucket

We went queuing for phototaking session(on top). Everyone was rushing in for the queue as the session each last for only 15 minutes so that the staff could have some fresh air.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Took some pictures outside the theatre.

Photobucket

Does the scene look familiar to you?

I believe it does especially if you've watched "Harry Potter and the Socerer Stone". It's the scene where Harry bought his magic wand.

Photobucket

We just continue walking till we saw BATMAN. Oh dear, it's my favourite. We set timer with multi-shots. The batman just stone there and said:

First shot: "One?"
Second shot: "Two to go?"
Third shot: "Three to come?"

"Great shots" he said.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Basically, the shops opened rather late. We were both hungry yet they only open their shops at 12 noon. See how slack and enjoyable their life is. Look the picture below.

It's the Shrek House. A shop selling Shrek souvenirs. I see you would have realised the door was closed and doesn't seems to be operating. Yupyup, it's true. The photo was taken about 12 noon, yet they are not opened yet.

Photobucket

We took pictures with Scooby Doo. Oh, i love scooby. It's one of the cartoons that i've been watching since young. I love to play Scooby Castle on Cartoon network. Therefore phototaking with him is a must.

Photobucket

Another familiar scene isn't it?

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Read on, and i will show you more interesting stuffs.

Photobucket

Have you saw the Machine before in Singapore?

Perhaps you did, but i hadn't seen any of it. It's a machine which dispense different flavour powder. These powder flavouring could be added to you ice-cream as well. You just have to made payment first before you could dispense it onto your ice-cream.

Photobucket

I guess you guys went to Mini Toons before. I'm trying to talk about the gummies there. Chris loves gummies, but i never allow him to buy from Mini Toons. It's a matter of hygiene. Look at Mini Toons and the picture right below my paragraph.

Mini Toons simply placed their gummies into container whereby every can just scooped with their bare hands and allowed the gummies to be exposed to open air. It's very dirty to me actually. Just imagine if you will still want gummies from Mini Toons if you were to find out a person who just shit without washing his hand just scooped the gummies.

How would you felt?

You might not buy gummies from Mini Toons if you know it. The worst scenario is when you buy without realising it.

In the shop, you have to turn the machine before they would dispense the amount of gummies you want. At least, they have not gone through thousand hands which is disgusting.

Photobucket

Saw the television screen on top?

Yup yup, they made videos for you. They might played some cute somgs like "Barbie Girl" and display your face expression into the video. It's simply interesting but too expensive for us. It's arounf 80 bucks Aussie if i'm not wrong. Do try that out if you were there and let me know if it's worth the money.

I can't expect Chris to get me anything i want (inc the video). He might just kill me if i post the video up in my blog or fainted due to weak heart. Hahahaha (",)

Photobucket

I love Batman Car. It's awesome!!!

Photobucket

Seriously, i'm a noobie. Saw the picture right above.

I don't know what's the character. Only Chris does, i guess.

Photobucket

Does the scene below looks familiar to you?

Everyone watched Wild Wild West before isn't it? It's the scene from the movie. Movie World is trying to revamp it by building more shops. Right now, the place is still under renovation as shops aren't operating. I guess they are in the process of expanding.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Chris wanted to made his own coin. Oh yeah, you might not know what i meant by that. There's a "Press a Penny" machine below. All you have to do is, put in some coins and chose the design you wanted to. You can make different character prints with it.

I stopped him from doing so. It cost 10 bucks Aussie. Previously, we did one in Hong Kong Disneyland. Till today, i've got no idea where is the coins. It's just went missing and not found till today.

Isn't it a waste of money?

Photobucket

Well, i'm not sure what it is below. Do let me know if you've got a clue about it.

Photobucket

Their toilets.

Photobucket

Next, we went for their musical performance. It's quite nice since there was storylines. The characters would just dance of the stage. Kids would just walked forward and danced with them together.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Saw Dagwood Dogs?

They are selling hotdogs. I've got no picture of the hotdogs, but it's a little diffferent from us. Well, just let me describe to you briefly. In Singapore, our sausages were mostly on stick. But their sausages is 3 times thicker and they hold it with their whole palm. (Don't let your imaginations runs wild).

Do let it runs wild a little if you wanna know how it looks like. Most of the local girls who bought that, just can't stop giggling.

You can more or less see Australians eating that.

Photobucket

Gotham City Cafe is where we gonna have our lunch. Not so soon, let's walk around more.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

(Above) That's where i bought clothes for Laiteng's new born baby. It's ain't cheap since it's from Warner Bros. Pricing should be kept private afterall.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Chris said that it's the new evo car. Oh, you can say it's currently the fastest right now in the world. I guess we might be able to see that in the next show since there will be a performance on "Stunt Driver".

Photobucket

We had lunch at Gotham City Cafe.

Oh, that's our lunch for the day(1pm). The food looks simple but expensive. Make a quick guess then?

AUD38 = 38 x 1.16 = SGD 44

It's ridiculous pricing, isn't it?

We ordered a Triple Cheeseburger Set and a Chicken Fillet Set. It may be expensive, but it seriously taste 20 times better than Long John Silver and MacD. Let me explain to you more.

Look at the Triple Cheese burger. There were 3 layers of beef. Each layer was at least 3 layers of beef slice that could be found in MacD's cheese burger. The meat wasn't hard at all, it's very soft and tender with layering cheese. Oh ya, they don't use the cheese like Kraft or Chesedale. They actually used Hard and Salted cheese. It's so much more cheesy, thickening and yummy.

Photobucket

I shall go on to the Chicken Fillet. It looks hard isn't it?

The fact is that it's doesn't taste hard. The surface was damn crispy that you could hear sounds of crisp easily. But the Fillet did taste 20 times better than LJS as they added more seasoning to it. You can simply taste a little pepper in it. As for the fries, it's awesome like totally.

They don't re-use oil at al like Singapore. As far as you know, our fries seldom taste crispy as they kept recycling the oil over and over again. But it's so big and crispy. The inner layer of potato is so volume.

I've got no more critics about food except the Chilli Sauce.

I see varieties of Chilli Sauce sold in Supermarket, yet they charge $$$ to our chilli sauce. Hey dude, you might have thought it's just 20c each or could be less than that. The fact is that, one packet of chilli can cost 60c or above.

If you were to get 2 packet, it might cost AUD1.20 = 1.20 x 1.16 = SGD 1.40

Oh wow wow wow...

Anyway, we got the Shrek's souvenir cup. This cup can help us saves alot. Without the cup, you can only purchase popcorns at AUD4.95, drinks at AUD4.95. With the cup, it's only AUD2.95 each.

Photobucket

It's Batman Show.

They actually create a real life show. They do be performers fighting around before the Batman Car arrives. I always thought that the Batman Car is just for display. To my surprise, the car could be driven around by authorised user. Woohoo - that's cool man.

Photobucket

Saw my popcorns below?

I was enjoying it while watching my Batman Show. Oh yeah, forgotten to mention about it.

Do you know that Sweet popcorns can hardly be found in Aussie?

They have only got salted ones. Even so, i still like it though i always had the sweet ones watching movie in Singapore. In Singapore, if you were to taste carefully on the salted popcorns, you would have realised that salt are added to it and there's no butter taste at all.

For Aussies one, there seems to be more butter taste. It's yummy.

Photobucket

Next, it shall be the Marilyn show. She went walking around telling guys to kiss her etc. It's just so funny. Even Christopher wanted to step forward. Hahahahaha =x oops

She do dance around and interact with her audience.

Photobucket

Next, we went for the "Stunt Driver" show.

While waiting, we saw these usher selling ice-cream, drinks and yummy stuffs. It was then i saw a little boy holding on to 3 sausage like yummies. So I nudge Chris to get one for us to try. Oh yeah, it's the Chocolate Banana with nuts on top.

It's cost AUD 4 = 4 x 1.16 = SGD 4.60

The chocolate layer was thick and the nuts was still crispy with icing banana fruit in it. It's was Shiok man although it's cold. But everyone doesn't seems to care about the cold weather. Ice cream seems to be popular as ever despite the climatic changes.

Photobucket

Photobucket

So sorry to mention about it. I took very little photos of the show. Mostly were video-ed on my digital camera. It's too stunning seriously. Well, they would do a 360 degree brakings, 3 cars driving with 2 wheels each, great explosion etc.

It's really fascinating.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We took some great pictures with Marilyn. Oh yeah, she doesn't sit there and smile. If you get to sit beside her, she might just chit chat with you. Oh dear, she's so friendly afterall.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Woohoo - cat woman

Oh, she looks scary to me (",)

Photobucket

Photobucket

While waiting for the parade to begin, i spent some time walking over to the photoshop to get my pictures done. Oh, wanna take a look?

I guess you might wanted to, just scroll on (",)

That's the main page

Photobucket

(Above) They would give some brief introduction to the Movie World. It's grand though.

Photobucket

The one right on top of my paragraph cost 15 bucks. It's only a 6R photo. It's roughly around SGD 17.40. Rather expensive but it's worth the money.

Photobucket

I love to call Bugs Bunny, Bugsie. Well, it's a habit. We took photo with Bugsie as well. It cost 20 bucks but it came with an offer. It means i get 3 photo in total, 4R, 6R and 8R. It's more worth it.

The Parade finally started. It's such a shame that i'm a grown up, otherwise they do be giving out free Magnum ice-cream to the little kids. Oh.....

Photobucket

Photobucket

Look at the Bugsie on top.

I always thought Bugsie is always skinny (sarcastically). But this Bugsie was slightly different. His tummy was grwoing outward and the thigh seems to be rather thick. Hahahha...

Great to see fat Bugsie (",)

Photobucket

In the Superman Shop.

Photobucket

The bus would only picked us up in an hour time, therefore we gotta find something to do. It was then i saw this Funnel Cake.

Aha, i'm interested in it totally as i don't know what it is. I doubt many people have tried it out before. Chris bought one for us to try, which cost approx 8 bucks. See picture below for more.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The below aren't soft cakes. It's a little spongy in between with crispy layer on the outside. The crispy layer aren't just any fried flour, it's sweet. I mean very sweet seriously. You would love it if you got a sweet tooth.

The thoughts of it made me drools.

Just slice a little of it and eat it with your ice-cream, it could be heavenly. They would just melt away.

Photobucket

Saw the picture below. It's rather unglam yet i still post it up since it's funny. I was trying to blog for the day when i came across that picture. We don't know when it was taken, by whom is it taken etc. It just pop out from my card reader. Don't find it eerie please... It's funny though.

Photobucket

Look at the sky, it's just 5pm only and it's turning dark. It just drizzles almost every single day. Unlike Singaporeans holding on to umbrellas, they just heck care about it. They do wear ponchos but not commonly seen.

I guess it's quite common to see drizzling in GC.

Photobucket

Byeeee ~ MovieWorld

I gonna be back someday (",) Muahahahahha (",)

Photobucket

We were heading back to Surfer Paradise.

It's Wednesday, and we were searching for Night Market by the beach. It was then we asked a local over there, we were then told that the Night Market was seasonal especially on winter.

I was alert when i heard "WINTER". I repeated Winter again and again.

Oh my gosh, i always thought it's Spring only, yet i was told that it's Winter. I'm so surprised by it as you could see gals wearing mini skirts, tube, or even sleeveless walking by the street. Even the guys were wearing bermudas and singlet.

Respect them seriously.

We had Subway for dinner.

Photobucket

Nah, it's not Subway Melt. It's pizza flavour. They have got more flavours over there compared to ours. Nonetheless, their cookies were cheaper by a little and seems to be more crispy too.

Photobucket

We went shopping at these branded shops next. Chris just can't stop asking me:
"You want this?"
"You like this?"

Great, i just can't find anything i like.

Photobucket

It's rather easy to see such pizza outlets(below) around the place. We then got ourselves one. It may seems small to you, but it's rather a big share. Their pizza seems to be quite generous with the ingredient.

Pizzas in Singapore, you could see the ingredient scattered equally (very little). But for them, the ingredient was so thick that every bite you had, you could taste the meat and cheese.

Anyway, we call it Hawaiian Pizza isn't it?
They called it "Pineapple and Ham".

Photobucket

It was then we returned for Jackpot. 20c game each and i won a great bucket.

Photobucket

It's just so tempting and i won 40 over bucks from the machine. It's damn cool as it gonna settled our supper for the day.

After summarizing all our winnings, we decided to get something soupy for supper since we had been eating pizzas and burgers most of the time. We walked along the streets and stopped by this restaurant.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Aha, it's a takeaway order.

Photobucket

Photobucket

That's about it as we gonna turned in early. It's another day of excitement for tomorrow. Hope you enjoy this post. It's a little wordy but i guess it might help if you have the intention of travelling there.

Just wanna conclude
something:

"Everything cost money over there."

"Everything was expensive over there."

"There just seems to be more Asians than Australians."

Hahaha (",)

Bye...
