Want you back

The blooming

29th June 2013
Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out values all the utilities of the world.

I had a creepy time at the Bee's Farm. Well, that was real bad because I dislike insects. I probably visit it for the sake of curiosity. Bf drove downhill to the biggest Lavender's Garden. It was one of the biggest we had passed by. It was filled with shades of purple (Tard's favourite). I was glad it wasn't in shades of pink. In fact, not much pink at all (There is, but I filtered them).

#Lavender's Ice Cream

We bought a Lavender Ice-cream to try because I haven't had one before. I thought it's gonna taste nice, it turned out the other way round. I tasted bland actually. Some people do appreciate it's taste but not me. So-so only.

We seriously had a lot of time to spare because bf was driving and I had no bus to catch. Therefore, I took my own sweet time, sitting under the big umbrella. It was a long way down the hill because Cameron Highland was higher than Genting Highland (correct me I'm wrong). Like a lazy bug, I lazed at BOH Tea Centre and Lavender's Café for an hour each. It's pretty cooling even if you are seated outdoor.

Yep, we gotten one too. I was stranded at a table and it took me nearly 15 minutes or more to come out with such a line despite writing blogs for years. No inspiration at all. Anyway, we strutted off back to Kuala Lumpur after our last stop at Lavender's Garden because it's gonna be a 3 hours plus drive to the city.

#Claypot Chicken Rice

Had claypot rice for dinner at Shah Alam before making our way to Kuala Lumpur. Hell no, it was a nightmare because there were jams everywhere. We had difficulties understanding the origin of jam for there's no ERP nor accidents. Most drivers attempted to cut lanes to save time and that caused major jams. We were caught in jams for more than an hour. Fortunately bf is a dangerous driver (not a good thing), he basically kept cutting the lanes throughout. We had no choice but to escape the stranded time caught in jam.

We slept over at his cousin's place that night. Yep, next stop shall be Genting Highland.

Have a great day ahead.

Cheers,
Pzy

Soothing scent

29th June 2013
No man can taste the fruits of autumn while he is delighting his scent with the flowers of spring.

I had a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel before checking-out. The breakfast was fairly average but enough for me to choose. It's a complimentary breakfast, so I'll not be picky about it much. I just wanna grab a bite and save more spaces for the rest of the day.

Bf drove around the hill while I was keeping a lookout for strawberry farms.

#Little Cottages

We went into one of the strawberry farm cottages. The exterior of the cottages looked really cosy, but not the interior. It looks more like a home (very old and vintage type) rather than a resort. The room may not be in a very good condition but it is really good and comfortable for big groups travelling at a tight budget. I caught a glimpse of guests barbecuing along my way into the alley of cottages.

I believe it is similar to those minsu in Taiwan. The smell and breeze was soothing as there was a strawberry farm (not meant for visiting purpose) right beside the cottages.

#Bf and I

There were quite a few them (Strawberry Farm), but we chose the one that was located at before the road to BOH Tea Centre. The weather was perfect, cooling despite the powerful glare from the scorching hot sun. Thank god, I got my shades on. No one should ever gonna see my small eyes hiding behind the shades.

#With our harvest

We had a tiring time searching for big, red and ripe strawberries. No one wants a sour berries. We went searching up and down for the juicy ripe ones. Bf did the harvesting while I am busy taking shots always. It wasn't narcissism but my negativity towards strawberries from the farm.

A couple of years back, Tard and I travelled to Genting Highland and plucked a load of strawberries from a strawberry farm. All the strawberries turned out to be really sour. Ever since then, I trusted only Korea and USA ones. I was force-fed by bf and surprisingly, it turned out to be sweet. I bet it was the weather that did the little magic to the fruits.

Paid for our strawberries before heading our way to BOH Tea Centre. So near yet so far. We were near to our destination but took a really long while before our arrival. The road to BOH Tea Centre seemed dangerous to me (Alright, do give me the benefit of doubts because I don't drive and I am not familiar with road in poor condition). The road goes around the mountain (round and round). You got to be really skilful and careful because there are blind spots where you won't be able to see oncoming cars. There's only one lane but cars of 2 directions (back and fro) shared the same lane. There's no divider (which means, you are looking right down the hill). It was scary though.

I really wished that the car could go up the hill. Unfortunately, you can't drive up directly. Bf parked his car before making our way up the hill. It wasn't a long way to climb but the steps were high and wide. I am short and I have short legs. Well, that's a fact that I don't deny. Nothing to be shameful about. I had to stretch my leg almost to the maximum for every single step. I suffered muscle cramps for my right leg for at least a week after the trip because I used single leg (my right leg) to climb the steps. It'd be great if bf is willing to piggy ride me up the hill in future.

I wanted lychee tea initially. Unfortunately, it was so popular that they had no more stock. I made do with something else instead. The breeze was cooling and I was reluctant to leave.

They had open house for visitors to take a look at how tea is made. The factory was filled with aroma of tea leaves and it was really refreshing.

I bought some tea leaves from BOH tea centre before heading my way to the Bee Wax Farm. We stopped along out way and it was a creepy experience. I really don't like it. I'll probably not return again, not even for the sake of honey.

#Bees Farm

You can see millions of bees in the wooden boxes. The boxes were sealed but you will see bees along the entrance into the box. I was mad paranoid walking along the pavement of the farm picturing bees flying after me. I got really sensitive and began to itch even though I was not stung by any bees. I hate insects.

We made our way to Lavender's Farm next. I shall stop here and continue another day.

Have a nice day.

Cheers,
Pzy

See you again

We can't stop

Slappy cakes

24th August 2013
Reaching for you in the cold of winter and heat of summer.

I was really happy because bf is giving me a free treat to Taiwan for 10 days (Air tickets + Accommodations). That was truly madly awesome. I have the best earthling boyfriend!!! ♥ ♥ ♥  Even though my little darling (Teng) helped bf to cover up his plan, I still love her deeply. I probably find myself foolish for cursing my bf before her in whatsapp (Oh no, it's like a big whole chunk).

#At Slappy Cakes

Gosh, I'm getting fatter each day. It's time for me to go on a diet plan. Jog and eat less are impossible missions. Nevertheless, there's always an easy way out. I had decided to sing my prayers to the god instead. I hate my bf for making fat but Teng seems happy to watch me grow fat.

Here we are at Slappy Cakes.

#Egg Benedict and Pancakes

Slappy Cakes is located at the old Turf Club at Bukit Timah. Bf did some research and brought me to make pancakes. The price is fairly reasonable. You can select your own pancake flavours and toppings.

I had a whale of a time at Slappy Cakes. Yup, the pancakes tasted good. It's cheap too. One bottle is more than enough for 2 pax unless you are an ultra big eater. We caught a movie at Town before heading home as bf had revision to do the next day while it's my date with Ah Tard.

Have a good day.

Cheers,
Pzy

Splendid tea

25th August 2013
Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand.

Finally, we had another outing after Tard's back from Shanghai. Shanghai seems pretty interesting after hearing her stories about spits in train. I'll probably put that place as my last choice unless there's promotion (I mean those seriously great offers/sales). Tard got me a Doraemon mirror (big one) and some accessories (Thank you with many many loves ♥)

#Bah Ku The

We met at Woodland Interchange even though we have individual direct bus to JB. It was definitely a sweet thing to travel together. I brought Tard to the Bah Ku Teh place that bf had introduced me to previously. It was just across a road from KSL, really convenient.  The good thing about this Bah Ku Teh is that you can select your own extra ingredients to be added.

We did our nails together and sing k. Thank god, I brought my membership card along and it was dirt cheap. RM88 net for 3 hours inclusive of a jug of soft drink and 2 side dishes.

#Pizzahut

We had Pizza Hut for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, there was this stench. Hence we walked a few rounds before settling down. The staff followed us around blindly and got irritated. Well, we are partly to be blame but they should have removed the horrible stench especially when it's a restaurant. Anyway, we settled our dinner there for pizza.

We had dinner like hi-tea session.

We had a chocolate fudge cake before buying bubble tea from chat-time and heading home. It was a splendid day.

Busy celebration

9th August 2013
Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey

It was National Day.  Happy Birthday Singapore and hope the cost of living stops increasing rapidly before my wallet burst (already burst). Build more shopping malls but not bringing in the same brands always. Just think about the number of repeated brands in Orchard Road. Still, I like your clean and green environment.

We had a steamboat dinner for that night.

#With Sugar

Sugar is Mw's dog. I named her lazy because Mw trained her to be lazy. Basically, she lives in her own world and listen to no instruction. The problem lies in the owner most probably. The good thing is, she's really well behave. You can put her on a chair and it will stay there obediently.

#All of us

It's been a long while since we last gathered together. I had no time to organize outings because I was busy (I had no idea what I was busy with, not even now). Surprisingly, Carl actually came over from Tampines and nearly decided to skip partying. Javen came even though he overslept. After all, it was a great dinner.

Have a nice day.

Cheers,
Pzy
