Sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake.
Bf drove over from KL to JB to pick me up. Ahhh, seemed nice but not so. In fact, he offended and upset me a few days back before the trip which explains his thoughtfulness. He isn't that thoughtful most of the time. Anyway, I'll graciously accept his good effort. He'd be fuming mad or turning green pale after reading. Yes, he stalked my blog.
Bf surprised me with Doraemon (below). It was the biggest one at the fair even though it looked small in the picture. We bought some food and drinks before the beginning of our road trip. I haven't been on a road trip before in my entire life. I always thought it'd be cool to drive on your own (even though I'm not the one driving, I'll be glad to be the passenger) stopping by wherever you want to. We planned a good itinerary and followed accordingly. No hiccups this time round and the trip was perfect.

It was a 3 hours ride to Malacca by car. We stayed at Mio Boutique Hotel again for it's beautiful room. It's a little way out of the place by walking. You probably have to walk 15 minutes to Jonker Street unless you are driving. Otherwise, you may wish to consider staying at the hotels within Jonker Street. The distance seems pretty fine to me.

We went on a weekday and the street was rather quiet. I had read up some news regarding the election and I learnt that the government wanted to close down the street maintaining shop houses only to ease the traffic. According the local, it wasn't entire true.
Disclaimer: The above information might not be true. It is based on online information and comments.
The entire street was like silent hill (exaggerating). We did ask one of the staff and she is not willing to disclose any further.

#My first meal of the day
I had been munching on bread in the car. Poor bf had his bread while driving because we had no time to lose. I wanted to have Bah Ku Teh initially. We had our lunch at Famosa Chicken Rice Restoran and that was my first proper meal of the day. It was one of the famous outlet at Malacca. You will never fail to see queues during the weekends. I like their Otah very much. According to bf, the Otah is from Muar (Not too sure if I spelt correctly). It wasn't wrapped in leaves. It came in a thick individual form. It's super yummy.
#Fruit Tea
The tea comes in different flavours chilled. I tried all flavours and passion fruit is still my favourite. It's really sweet and the truth is, I like the bottle even more. Therefore, I usually took a few sips and handover to bf in order to save up space for more food.
Street was closed and there was nothing much to see. Fortunately, bf was driving. He turned on the GPS and we headed for the nearby shopping mall. Apparently, their so-called "Neighbourhood Shopping Mall" is much bigger than our local (sg) ones.

Obviously, I chose this restaurant for it's cute cottage exterior.

We headed our way back to the hotel, took a short rest before heading out for the night. There are many delicious local delight at Malacca. You can hardly find such local delight street snack or street hawker in Singapore. In fact there's none other than those commercialised ones at Chinatown you can find. We had our dinner at this little street stall.

Basically, there ain't tall tables and high chairs. Most probably, you will be seated near drains and washing areas with lizard and cockroaches. I had serious night blindness and I could not see well in the dark. That's a minus point for me. On the positive side, I couldn't see cockroaches and lizard. If you are a hygiene freak, this place may not suit you. Well, that depends.
We grabbed a table and chairs, placed our order. By the way, this stall appeared on newspaper and celebrities from Malaysia and Singapore patronized it. Surprised indeed.

Jonker Street did not operate on weekday night. Therefore, there was nothing much to see and do. We washed up ourselves after our dinner because it was a warm and humid day. The cooking smell immersed our clothes causing us to stink badly. We jumped into comfortable pyjamas and made our way out to the nearest mall for movie. Yes, I was really in draped pyjamas and flowery short. People were dressing neat and nice except me. Worse of all, I had no makeup on because I was really lazy and sleepy. My mind was all about sleeping right away after the movie.
Bf drove back to the hotel after the movie and I could still remember that it was so cold that I kept urinating. Faint die me. It was mad scary to go toilet alone in foreign country especially when you are not familiar with the place. Worse, the toilets have no toilet paper forever and you have to bring your own one.
Have a nice day ahead.
Cheers,
Pzy
