The fabulous road trip

24th March 2012
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
It was one of my first ever road trip with Cassan. It was absolutely uncomparable to all I had encountered. Funniest thing I realised, Cassan was hugging on to her hp all along. She was on the google map 90% of the time. There was a new discovery about Cassan too, she was infatuated with Eng Neo Avenue. That was entirely her territory. From the way she described about Eng Neo Avenue, you might thought that Eng Neo was a friend of hers.

Cassan never had a hard time finding Riders Cafe. In fact, the entire ride was smooth and steady. It was till we were about to entre the bumpy road to the cafe, Cassan started to panic. Panicked stricken, she was pretty amaze about how quiet and deep Riders Cafe had been located. Anyway, she managed to handle everything except for one part. She had this special habit of taking 2 parking lot at a time. She took 2 lots and asked me if it's ok. I opened the door and told her she was right between 2 lots. That was pretty funny. She juggled between 2 lots. Yay! Done parking.

It was really nice but thick as well. It would be nice if you are looking for heavy tasting.

#Busy, busy. Checking out the google map.

Cassan broke out in cold sweat, badly traumatised. She was juggling with google map despite meal time. We intended to catch a movie in town and Cassan had never drove to town before. Practices make perfect. So, she went on with her google map, analysing her way to town.

The movie began at 1.15pm and we set off around 1245pm. It was an ultra rush. Worst, we made a wrong turn. We ended up on the route going back home. Along the wrong route, we met many Bus 190. Haha, we even joked about following the bus and we'll never go wrong. A round of applause to Cassan as she made things right in the end. Off we went for the show. A great show, yep.

After movie, we intended to have strictly pancakes, unfortunately, their operation hours ended at 3.15pm and resume only at 6pm. We went for another alternative, that's Victor's Kitchen. I recommended it many years back.

The entire road trip made Cassan on high I guessed. It's been quite a while since I saw her being her usual self. Let me recap alittle on a few weeks back. Oh ya, we went to Zouk a few weeks back. She was so high that she became the first to get drunk. I remembered vividly that she got difficulty standing upright. One last point, she vomitted on the cab. Nah, not the passengers' seat, in a plastic bag that she brought along. She must have predicted that coming. Ever since then, I labelled her as a drunkard.

We went on the wrong routes before arriving at Riders and now we even screwed up the orders. Haha, we wanted to order the glutinuous rice and we ended up with some dumplings. *Slams head* Lol.

This was the wrong order made. I'm glad it still taste fine. Else, it would be disastrous.

Strongly recommended by Cassan. It was delicious except the leaking part. The custard was so watery that it dripped onto my hand easily.

Next, we headed to Chinatown. I was confident about knowing the route there well. Cassan was suspicious and kept probing if I'm sure of that. We went straight to Chinatown without any map. How cool was that? Cassan no longer buried her head in google map. I even sourced out the multi storey carpark for her. Everything was perfect except parking at the 4th storey. It's Chinatown and there ain't any lift available. Climbing shall be the perfect exercise for the day. The thought of it made my leg wobbly.

We had desserts!

Yesh, I love durian ok. Some guys think that girls who self claimed that they love durians are unglamorous. I seriously don't care. It's not very often that my friends or buddies truly see me as a girl. I love durian very much in fact. Totally infatuated by it. Suddenly, I missed the awesome durian desserts at Goodwood Park.

Photobucket

Let me summarised this a little. It was a fabulous road trip, an exciting one especially when we kept moving on the wrong track. Despite so, it's a valuable lesson. We learnt as we made mistakes. A round of applause for Cassan. Level up in her driving skills and road recognition.

*Thumbs up, babe*

You can do it better.

Have a nice day ahead.

Fun and fruitful

23rd March 2012
When the dark comes about.

Right after work, Yann and I went to The Central @ Clarke Quay. We intended to have Seoul Yummy since Yann told me it was recommended on Tv. I never really like The Central because of it's weird formation. It just seemed so hard to navigate from one location to another.

If you had read my posts always, I'm sure you remembered a post lately regarding a hater of mine stalking my fb like a loyal fanny and like my posts profusely. She hated me to core and it's fucking retarded to see her acting that way. In a way, I hated her too. I'm not that kind enough to like someone whom hated me. Definitely, I might not go to such extreme in scolding the person in the face. But it is hard for me to like her wholeheartedly, I would say.

Imitating her might aid me in hating her less. Well, in a way.

Beautiful weekday

14th March 2012
Happiness is hot chocolate.

Wednesday was a shit day for me despite working from home. I arranged dinner with Mw and Berlin on a weekday. It indicated that I had to drag my lazy bones from house to Chinatown. I had no choice since I can't make it on Thursday due to flooding assignments. Furthermore, Berlin had D&D on Friday night. I recommended Togi to everyone. Credits to Cassan Ng for the special introduction.

We weren't that fortunate to get seatings upstairs. We sat outdoor initially before getting somewhere indoor. We need an indoor seat desperately. The chair Mw was sitting on ain't stable. She was encountering lobsided butt. I never put the blame on the chair. Apparently, it's her fault for having an ultra gigantic big butt.
Photobucket

We had the Spicy Seafood Pot. I would say that was great compared to the Kimchi one I had with Cassan. Both taste great, but the ingredients for Seafood Pot was worth the price more. Well, in a way.

I realised Koreans really like sweet flavoured beef. I went to Korea one year ago and I remembered how sweet their stew beef was. It was much more sweeter than our locally made ones.

Mw was engrossed in eating and ignored us completely.

Like a glutton.

We even had KOI cup despite the heavy dinner.

Sinful for fats. Haha.

I shall end here. Hopefully, you had a beautiful weekend.

Fret less

I had been so happy lately. Thanks to the multi distraction from all everywhere, I'm so-stress free. Not only my blogging feel is back, my appetite grown bigger. Well, it's definitely not a good sign. I forseen myself growing sideway and horizontally. Sounds sad.

I will be going to KSL next weekend. Shall update soon.

Have a good weekend.

Having food for thoughts

17th March 2012
Despite wind going against rain, the sun will always shine again.

I woke up in the late afternoon and waited for Chris to fetch me from school. He took his exams in the later afternoon which was kind of weird. Anyway, we went to Food for Thoughts. I shall make this post short and simple. I'm just trying to make my life easier. Lol.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The ambience was fine but a little rowdy in the peak hours. Patrons streaming in like a river flow made me felt as though I was having Marche instead. The noise level was on par.
Photobucket

Photobucket

I love breakfast. Bread, egg, and bacon. Yums.
Photobucket
We ordered the spicy chicken cutlets too. It wasn't really that spicy afterall. I would say crispy instead. I shall end here for the day. Not much to talk about either.

Have a nice day ahead.

Seafood pot with loves

16th March 2012
Moving in the direction of north.
Everyone had craving for korean cuisine for the day. Huiyee casually forgotten about our important date. She's getting daring lately. Apparently, she was the one who initiate the idea of dining on the 16th. She even tag comments openly. Unfortunately, she forgotten all about us. That really proves our value deep in her heart. How disappointing, Huiyee. Hopefully, she reflects alittle after reading. Haha, just kidding.
Anyway, she decided to turn over a new leaf. I was dreadful about her cancellation. Suddenly, she decided to cancel her initial appointment. Hooray and yippie hippie. It made my day. I was as happy as a lark. Alright, no idea why too. Probably, it's the food that tempted me since the beginning. Cassan and Huiyee had been strongly recommending the restaurant to me. I thought it was great, indeed it was.
Photobucket
All along, Huiyee was the late queen. I shall grant her the holy position of a late queen. In the previous gatherings, we were supposed to reach by 6pm and she never fail to reach at 8pm. It was ridiculous, isn't it? This happen for 3 times in a row straight. Tsk tsk. So I told Cassan about Hy's special condition. I seriously did not expect Cassandra to be so creative.

She told Huiyee that there gonna be a cute guy and it was not good to leave him a bad impression. DAMN! Cassan was fabulous. She got everything in hands. It worked miracly. I ended up late instead. Huiyee was the first to reach the place and she waited for me like a statue at the bus stop. Haha, she might kill me for disclosing her secrets. Rush to Togi upon my arrival.

Photobucket
It's mouth-watering just to see those side dishes. I love the potato and kimchi. We were rather unglamourous. Huiyee and I kept discussing about bowel clearance throughout the meal. Anyway, kimchi was one of the best and healthiest food to me. Like I had mentioned in my trip to Korea, I experienced no signs of constipation. Just to add on a little to spice things up, I would like to conclude that it's a "smooth delivery". Haha, shall put a stop to that topic.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Well taken shot.

Credit to ME!

Haha, Huiyee was promoting her camera photography and no one bothered about her hp presence. Truthfully, the quality of hp can never make it. Real camera make photo wonder. Y'know, I know. That's a fact.

Cassan, no worries. Your head definitely looked smaller than Huiyee. That Huiyee was so bad, kept asking me to move forward in all the phototaking so that my head look bigger than hers. Clever, but no chance. I'm not that dumb to potray myself into Doraemon head yea. Worst, she kept scooping noodles when I told her a zillion times that I'm diet (not really la). The more I reject, the more she gave me. She even added inedible spices to my bowl despite Cassan telling her not to. Zzzz.
