Coverage

It's my last night in SG before I set off to South Korea. I'm supposed to be really excited. Yet, all I did was to get myself covered in news. I've been reading and reading non-stop. I read Straits Times, The Newspaper and it never got enough for me. I continue to stalk my big black magic box yann used to call that. I watched TW and US news. It's totally annoying.

TW was telling everyone not to go South Korea as a war might break out anytime while I heard none of such issues in SG. Alright, SG is a safe and nice place (well, i agreed but not all the time). I don't understand why SG seems to be covering up news.

Well, it's my opinion. They might not had done it, but they made me felt that way. Let's take the recent slashing incidents. The news said that it's just some manslaughter, murder or whatso ever. In the end, it  turned out to be something else. Something like what?

Something that can be way too scarier.

Ever since then, cases/incidents continue. Polices making claims that they would put a stop to everything. Yeah, they deserved more time. But it's getting out of hand, and I thought that they are ridiculous for covering the real and true story behind.

If you are a newspaper person, you could have know that 2 or 3 teenagers got slashed @ Scape park near Cineleisure (in case you don't know). Well, I guess it's clear enough that my issues were on the media and not the people who were related to the incidents. Back to the case, it's not a small issue. One broken finger with another 6 inches long knife wound. Is that serious?

The passage in newspaper turned out to be very small. I guess, you could have missed it if you are just browsing news.

Hell ya, I understand the purposes of covering news. They aimed not to frightened the public. Ya, but this is called lying. Lying through your teeth. No one had been warned about the oncoming danger. Just like the North and South issues. It's not properly reported. Our so-called first hand news was nothing but a third or fourth hand news.

It's up to you guys to judge about it. But I'm really furious.

It's my last night here and everything seems fine. I'm really frightened deep inside. I force myself not to think. I just hope that there won't be a war. It's not for my own sake, but for everyone. A war will not only drag the civillians but the economic and results in many other complications.

Mmm, I've done packing my luggage. Apparently, it's not big enough and I'm really upset about it. I had used ziplock bags with air vacummed out of it. It's still big. Well, I'm so used to travel light. I can named you what I brought with me in my previous trip.

Tiny comb
Concealer(MUST)
Small mirror
Camera
A small pouch with cash
Passport
Hp
i-touch
Tissues

And that's all. But this time round, I had more to carry with me.

Gloves
Scarf
Jacket
Heat warmer
Eyeliner
Mascara
Blusher
Lipbalm
Moisturizer

Oh god damn, my bag is so heavy. My flight gonna last for 6 hours. I had no intention to put on my makeup when I board the plane. I mean, it's going to be very uncomfortable. Furthermore, I gonna sleep and do all sort of stunts that made me comfortable.

In fact, I was way up agains this naked face idea. But so far, I had not frightened any of my students, so I think it should be alright. I'll take pictures too, by then you judge how scary I look. I'm fine with it. I expected something worst than ever.

I gonna buy lots of face mask, nail polish, longchamp bag for Yann. Well, these are her orders. As for food, it's on me. Hahaha, i promised to treat her snacks since that's all i can afford. *Faint* She can't live without food.

Alright, gtg. Good night everyone.

Peace and Harmony

Oh my goodness, I don't know if I'm considered fortunate or unfortunate.

North Korea fired artillery shells on 23rd Nov'10. Initially, I had planned to go around 20th Nov'10 and back on probably 3rd or 4th of December. You see, I teach and I really need to plan the time well so as not to clash.

Surprisingly, YeongPyong was in my itinenary. I had planned to go for snow ski. I was surprised when I was told that North Korea bomb YeongPyong island which killed innocent folks. I was really glad that I escaped this difficult situation. A millions thanks to bf for being stucked in some courses (NS), and I had been blaming him throughout for delaying my trip.

His unfortunate (that force our trip to delay) brough me incredeble fortune.

I had no idea why these 2 countries are always having conflict. If you were to read through their histories, they had been "on it" since probably 50 years ago. Whether it's south or north, isn't it still Korea. I mean, Korea is such a beautiful place, excellent weather, hot and cute looking pop stars (Tard's darling, you know who?), tasty bbq pork, kimchi, interesting sport (ski, hot air balloon), and many more. Can't they just live in peace and harmony, sharing wealth and knowledge which leads to a brighter prospect.

Yes, some South Korean ppl are thinking that, they should have fight back, bomb back and whatsoever. Yes, it's true. No doubt about it. This is called patriotic, trying to secure and protect their people and country. I don't see any fault at it. But if you were to think it in a rational way, its not going to work.

Fighting back will brings your pride and glory. You can show to the whole world that you are truly empowered and no ones could beat you to it. So?
If a war really breaks out, who's the victim? Who's going to suffer the most? Who are the feeble ones?

The people.

Yes, you said you wanna fight, but if a bomb dropped or artillery shells fired at your family and friends, would you regret your decision. Fighting is never a solution. I mean what's the point?

Anyway, firing artillery shells for reason aren't any better. For what? Making people believe in your authority or your millitary position and power? Or for the sake of your next generation, trying to give him a big push to his career, while sacrificing the innocent poor folks who live by the island. It's not something that one should be proud about.

You build your career with your own capability and not stepping on the others to get to your goals. You have not authority, it's not your career but your father did. For? It's a good stepping stones though, but, don't forget the fact that you are as good as a murderer.

Well, I'm just red with angered about the civilians who are killed wrongly. They made no mistakes. Everyone got to really move on. In case, you don't understand what I'm writing over here, you may read up on some history. It will give you better idea.

Well, it's not about Singapore. Honestly, I'm always interested in historical stuffs. So I did some researches. Don't mind my angered statement. It's all what I believe. You know, I mean "believe" only. Please take note that I'm not making any accusation on the above. It's all my perspectives and opinions.

Jeanne

Disastrous fate lies behind

Luck changes from time to time. No one can predict the future; and what's happening the next minute. I finally felt the meaning of "shuddering in fear". But I'm really glad that I'm not alone going through this. You gonna understand when you read till the end.

Anyway, it's Ah Tard's bdae early celebration. I bought her her favourite polaroid camera. I didn't bought it online though it was cheaper. I prefer to check with my own eyes to make sure everything was alright. We went to Manhattan for lunch. Our initial plan was to use the vouchers we got earlier on.

I guess, we're just sort of unlucky. They happened to have promotions and vouchers cannot be used. You see and contradiction over here? I do. Sadded totally. Otherwise we would have planned somewhere else.
Photobucket
We were waiting for the food when 2 "ladies" sat beside us. Ok, I don't mean to curse her or whatever it is. I just don't feel good about her gesture, attitude and respect toward the others. Ok fine fine, I had these problems too but I did have some self control.

The only time when Tard and I have attitude problem when people don't show basic respect. Otherwise, we would be just kind enough.

The one sitting beside Tard was damn so-called sexy. Well, let's call her sexbomb then. She was wearing something super short. I'm fine with short skirts, or mini short. But definitely not to an extend of showing "everything" beneath. Tard was fortunate to be sitting side by side with her. As for me, fucking glad that she was facing me directly. I don't wanna talk about size here. From my writings, you should know "It's not any better". Does my conclusion strong enough to conclude your doubts?

More than enough I guess.

Back to topic, she was facing directly at me, opening her legs freaking god damn WIDE. Hey fuck damn shit, I'm having my meals man. She is damn inconsiderate to open it wide. It's so unglam that I can't eat anymore. My patience is running out.

Defintely, if she got ultra long sexy legs and look pretty hot. That's another case, it's not that horrid yet. I could totally see the colour of her ahem and the short was too short and tight for her that I saw something unglam sticking out ( sort of like hairs). Even so, I sincerely hope that it's just some thread from her shorts or what ever it is; you named it.

Can't you imagine how gross was that and I'm having my meal?

Not that good, I swear.

The one who sat side by side with me wasn't any better. She spread wide too.

Anyway, that's not the main point that I'm unhappy about.

The sexbomb wanted to order root beer. To play safe, the waitress told her that thye might not have it. It was kind of the waitress to do a second check. I believe it was then she realised that there were root beer in stock. So the other waitress (colleague) went to the sexbomb(s) and informed them that they had root beer and asked if she still wanted her root beer.

The sexbomb was totally fucked up, she talked in an ultra cocky and loud tone saying, "Just now that girl say got, NOW SAY DON'T HAVE. So is have or don't have? I don't understand why is she telling me Don't Have in the first place. There's something wrong with her service".

Fucked up isn't it? That waitress was talking to her in a soft and friendly tone. She was far to amiable. This sexbomb was give her hell yea. It's not easy to work in F&B environment, but that doesn't mean you can act pretty high class and use your customer against her. It sucks.

I won't blame that sexbomb if the waitress was rude to her in the first place. But the other way round, she was far too amiable. Get it? I felt so angry for the waitress.

Furthermore, that sexbomb keep giving me eye contact. Fine, I knew why. Because Tard and I were using our secret language to talk foul about her. She looked as if she was about to eat me. I can no longer take it at the sight of watching her talk.

She was acting and talking loudly in a proud and high class tone. She was straining so much on her english. Hey hey, I'm a very chinese-speaking person, I kindly admit it. But she's not. She deliberately talk damn loud straining and forcing whatever english accent that she could. Retarded isn't it? Basically, I think she was just trying to seek Tard and my attention. For what? Don't ask me. I had no idea. We face such problems oftenly.

Her orders were totally ridiculous. She order a big plate of crisp, that was totally WTF. It's not those little bit bit just like we had in Long John Silver. It's a big plate filled with crisp. Mmm, how should I describe? Oh ya, the amount of crisp is more than enough to fill up MacD regular size cup. Get it? That pretty explains her size. She disgusted me like mad and no ones does it better than her.

We'll change a topic then before I get irritated ( though I am, sort of little)

As usual, K-session all the way till 7pm. I'm so amazed with our energy. It's called "POTENTIAL ENERGY" We had been re-visitng Kbox at least 4/5 times in a month. We are so into the fun of R&B that we hardly sing Chinese pop song anymore. Not that we don't want to, we love it. But weird accent just keep coming out. Hakka's accent especially.

Photobucket

Photobucket
We decided to watch "Unstoppable"at the very last minute. Hell no, we were about to go for toilet trip at 7.10pm but the only time the theatre has was 7.10pm. Well, we decided to HOLD ON to everything. Ahem, I don't have to be that direct, isn't it?

We bought Nachos and this time round that staff show us AP (attitude problem). She spilled the cheese all over the container and we merely as for a change. She said, "WHAT IS WRONG? NOTHING WRONG WHAT? WHAT?" I considered that as raising her voice. In fact, it is.

She ended up wiping it off. Well, I can't be bothered anyway.

We had dinner at Xing Wang before going for pool.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Can I say something?

Xing Wang food was terrible. I think Old Chang Kee spring roll is way much better. Speechless.

Photobucket
After our meal, we went to play pool. Unfortunately, we were stalked by 3 men age between 30 to 40. It's outraging. They were watching us for the past 2 hrs. We were absolutely disgusted. I mean the cashier who looks like Ling Yi Chen ( Mischievous Kiss TW version) was sexier and prettier, why don't they aim her?

Alright, I don't want them to aim her either. No point victimise the other. They followed us when we wanted to leave. We pretend to take escalator and they followed. When we stopped, they stopped too. They fuckingly follow us to Swensen. WTF.

Photobucket
According to the above pictures, we were actually sitting beside them. That man in purple in his 40s ( he's definitely not a local) smiled with some freaky lusty look asking us what we eating. Being nice and not to offend him, I said in a nice tone, "We'll settle on our own". I thought that its obvious enough that we aren't interested in you. Why can't they give up and let us off. He even asked me twice. Upon placing orders, we changed our seats.

We took videos of what they did as shots were blurred mostly. They were smiling non-stop as if they can't wait to prey on us. They pretended to leave the place. The truth is, they did not. They are hiding at the lift lobby, waiting for us to foot the bill and get gone. It's freaking dangerous. We were both shuddering in fear. None of us dare to leave the place. We were so worried that they might abduct us. The 3 sick men even drove their car around and camp for us.

I pretend to make calls, being the first to step out of Swensen to check out the surrounding. I was kind of relieve when I see no presence of them. I was looking around for 5-10 minutes. I was about to tell Tard this good news when I saw a red car that stopped by the side for sometime. I looked carefully and I got a shocked. It was the stalkers, they were in the car waving to me. I ran as fast as I could, to be back with Tard. They drive past slowly, gesturing to us.

We were stucked. We made our escape at 4am plus. We hopped on to a cab while they were making rounds. Finally we were back to Lot1. We thought we were safe. It was then a group of people began to watch us, a motorist honked us. Our poor fate. We hopped on the cabbies and off to home straight.

My heart was throbbing seriously mad. I showered, close my eyes and had not had a wink. Weird graphics went through my mind. I was really frightend, but glad that nothing had happened.

Girls out there, you gotta be really observant to your surroundings. Don't cry or scream, be rational to think when it happens to you. It's better to be safe than sorry. Stay near to the crowd always, you will be saved most likely.

Cheers,
Jeanne

Out of my mind

Oh my god, I think I'm getting too nervous about my Korea trip. I've been really calm in all my previous trip. Hk, Bkk, Aussie, Japan and so on, I'm absolutely relief. I've been reading up recent updates on Korea, it's mad cold now. Some people said it's around 8 degree, while some said it's 5 degree. It's gonna snow. I'm damn happy to the max. I'm even expecting a snow storm. Haha, that must have sound saddistic. LOL

I wanna see snow flakes landing on my gloves. I wanna make a huge snow man. I wanna make snowballs and throw it all around the place. I think I'm simply excited because of the snow. I gonna love this trip to the max. It's just another 13 days more and I'm flying off, away from this "forsaken" place.

I'll update as soon as I have the time yeah. Bye.

Good luck and have a happy day.

Cheers,
Jeanne

Birthday Boom

It's my birthday today. Unfortunately, I'm suffering from some minor infection. Anyway, it's over so lets drop the topic. I was tutoring halfway when I requested to go off earlier. Chris came to fetch me and we had Swensen for lunch @ Bpp.

Love Fish and Chips. Will blog shortly about it someday if I have the time. As you see, I'm a busy woman. Forever busy with unpredictable stuffs. Since Chris got car for the day, yeah, you got it. I make full use of this opportunity. Got about 15 books, numerous ring files. He got crazy carrying them.

Next, I even thought of getting myself a new shelf. As you see, I'm sort of unorganized. I need a shelf desperately. My class is expanding and I desperately need a new table. Ooh ho, I got a new table. It's oat wood coloured. It's adjustable, I'm able to extend it and packed it small again. Poor Chris carried like mad.

He looked fine on the surface, I can sense him cursing me deeply in his heart while putting a bright smile on his face. Tsk tsk. Lol, who know what he's thinking.

As usual, family dinner. Chris got car for the day ( best part), so we went all the way to Singapore Flyers for dinner. We went to Arena Seafood Restaurant for dinner. Ahh, we were caught in a heavy jam for 30 minutes plus. Everyone got so hungry that they simply dozed off ( as in almost)

While waiting for seatings.....

We were playing with my sister's new polaroid camera. Well, I seriously don't know why Yann like it so much. Small little picture, not really that clear, doesn't seems dear. The films aren't cheap either. Tsk tsk, totally a lavishing enjoyment of fun. Still my ah pa S90 the best. Clear, sharp, bright. LOL.

Dinner time...

After dinner, all of us took the flyers. Haha, it was rather late and I should say, it's really expensive during weekends. My daddy just went ahead, handling us the money. Well, we settled everything and board the flyers as fast as we could. We were so lucky to catch the last flight. Amazing.

The scenery was so much better. The last time I came, ( oh no) all I could see was a piece of land and nothing much except construction everywhere. Now, you are able to see beautiful lightings. It's fantastic.

It's the end of the day, we headed home in car. I had a great meal too. Before I end my post, let me make a few important wishes here.

1) More sponsored trips overseas
2) Big money
3) Stop expanding sideway any further (Haha, i'm refering to body shape)

Shall end here. Have a good day everyone. Nights.

Infectious

Gonna go out for family dinner tonight. Before that, I gonna make full use of my opportunity. Without further hesitation, I rushed to Popular Bookstore and grab one big stack of assessment books for my students. It's god damn heavy and I'm really glad bf was there to carry it for me. Oh he's reluctant to do. He had no choice but to do it. Tsk, so disappointed.

We had lunch at Swensen. Oooh, I had my favourite Fish and Chip while he got beef stew. Beef is his favourite food, in the past, now and in the future. He could have murdered a billion number of cows by now. Oh, it's so sadistic though.

Photobucket
Don't ask me why I'm always in that grey shirt. In fact, I did not. I only worn it twice. It just happened that I worn it on the same day, but when I blogged about it, I broke my post into different parts. Haha, please don't misunderstand that I got a lot of grey tops. I don't, and that's the one and only.

Oh, that's the new watch I'm wearing from Yan. Not bad right? Haha, I got her a nice birthday gift too, hope she likes it by then.

Photobucket

After lunch, we went to Ikea. Got a beautiful and dirt cheap white shelf plus an extendable table which I guess Ah Tard will like it.

Anyway, I had been suffering from stomach infection and gastric issues very often nowadays. Gotta see a doctor someday about it. I can easily predict that they do recommend me to hospital for thorough checkups. Totally anticipated.

Have a nice day though.

Cheers,
Jeanne

New knowledge implant

It's my birthday again. Yup, went to VivoCity and scan every little single corner for my present. Yes, my bf is absolutely heartless. No surprise, nothing special at all. It's as good as watching a crocodile trying to act like a piece of log. Tsk tsk.

I sincerly, desperately and eagerly searched the entire Vivo. I even attempt to get something out of Swaroski just to burn a hole in his pocket. As you know, realistic people tend to go for reality. Crystal and blings are just not me.

I eyed on a coach leather bag, unfortunately it's in pink. Pink is just not me. I even thought of forcing myself to like Polaroid Camera, but I just can't do it. My hard life. It sucks.

Basically, I don't need anything. I happy with what I am now. I had exactly what I want. Though I don't carry luxury brands, but I had all I need. Basic electronic gadgets, whether is it a need or a want; I just got them. Despite being redundant at times, I already had them in my hands. This explains my difficulty of getting a good present. Fine, that heartless bf really got me nothing. Oh Nothing... but nothing.... and nothing yeah~

Pls don't find him a sweet boy. He's not. Probably 70% of the time. Buying me no present make him unfriendly 90% of the time. Yeah, I'm biased, I'm stereotype. Whatever they say. Blah blah blah.

Had lunch @ Asian Kitchen. It's just some brunch. Nothing special though.

Photobucket

Yan used to tell me that her so-called Ah Lao had similar taste. She once believe that couple tend to have the same taste. So sad, it doesn't apply to me. I love Xiao Long Bao and my bf had not much interest in it. The awful way he eats it ( I don't mean look, reluctant instead) can really get on my nerves. It's as if I'm holding on to a knife right up his throat, forcing it down.

Sometimes, he ease my cravings for food. I'm serious. I can crave for big ice-cream cones, with chocolate chips and fruits etc. At the sight of his reluctant look, being uninterested look, reluctant look, and giving me kinda "HUH" look seriously ends my cravings. Oh probably to and extend when I called it "Spoilt appetite". He's gonna be red with anger upon reading this posts. And Ya, I don't care. Should I be scared of him?

I doubt I'll be. It's the truth.

Eversince he go NS, nothing seems to taste great except the damn chai beng served in camp. Now he only goes for old people's food. Kway teow soup, Chai Beng and blah blah. It's like WTF? I don't mean that they are not nice. In fact, they are nice. I like fish soup though. But the greatest problem here was that, he don't even get a hook on Swensen ice-cream (which he used to love them). He seems to detest fast food like BK though he loved it in the past.

This proven something greatly, NS can change their man. I'm not saying it's some bad. Neither I'm saying it's something GREAT. I guess he's just too used to almost expiring food. Who knows the chemical effect in food edited the DNA in him? Sooner or later, you gonna watch me kicking up a fuss.

He's getting like some kind of old man. I can't find any teenage feel in him except giving sarcasm which my ah tard had suffered the same fate with me too. LOL.

Hey hey, we did not had a fight or quarrel or something. I'm just purely ranting a fact here laughing an thinking about his uncle pattern. LOL, don't let your mind run wild alright. Let's make this a happy post.

After shopping in vain, it's night time. We went to Keppel Bay for dinner @ PRIVE (dining)

I'm sorry, I'm kind of noob who's not really exposed to the outside world. I never knew about existence of such a place. In the car, I saw a beautiful coloured lightings bridge. It's damn nice when it's blue and purple in the night. It definitely capture your attention.

It was then I knew it's a private island actually. Well, another knowledge.

I don't wanna intro the food one by one. Just gonna say thumbs up. It's definitely the best description.

PRIVE consist of 3 F&B outlets, the bar, the casual dining and fine dining. We went to the fine dining ones. The food was really great.

Carry out

Finally, I'm back to blogging. Oh, I guess my blogging skill might be getting rusty nowadays. I'm so used to wordings and not wordings. Alright, so Ah Tard went out with me. Basically, we meant to celebrate my birthday early. But infact, we are finding excuses to shop and eat.

We can never shop and eat enough. Oh, I missed out singing. Silly us, precisely overage signed up for Kala member at Kbox. It's a student plan, and we managed to smoke through acting like some students signing up for the member. Poor Ah Tard claim that she's M1 member failed to get a $3 off the plan.

It's not her to be blamed. The staff just asked, and we both thought it's just some casual asking. Tsk tsk, wasted. Otherwise, she would have saved $3 (enough for 2 bubble tea). Haha, definitely we aren't that stingy. As usual, K time. We didn't take many pictures. Haha, no point since we're going to be their long term visitor (as long as 3 months)

Photobucket

@ Kbox

Photobucket
As usual, it's shopping time after kbox. I'm glad that I managed to fork out some money for shoppint ( Yan know, I know) Haha, I guess it's my worst ever broke period. Most probably, this will take me quite sometime to recover. You know, major problem yea.

Due to never ending shopping, all the restaurants were closed. Definitely, they aren't going to wait for the holy us. We settled our meals at Hong Kong Cafe ( the only survivor). I'm quite amazed with our appetite.

Photobucket
Soon, we came up with nonsense again. Anyway, still much better than stone looking pictures. All kinds of animals out there. Haha.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
We paced quickly to Cine. Unfortunatly level 9 was closed down. Our mood were dampened when the lift can't reached level 9. I'm glad to see crowds @ level 4. Immediately, we rushed there for our tickets. We watch "The Last Exorcism". It' s not well rated. Even so, we managed to frighten ourselves badly under my shawl.

We never stop imagining the ghostly figure popping out and when the girls gonna fold herself into half. Worst of all, we jumped up like kangaroos when a boy threw stone at the car. WTH. It's so lame. Everyone were watching normally. It's kind of boring show to them. We were never stop trembling in fear underneath.

We went to camp at Mac for some salty shit fries.

Ah Tard bought me a super nice looking classic watch from DKNY. Hahaha, she merely told me where she got the present and I guess it right. Haha. Great minds think alike yea. Okok, since Ah Tard's been so sweet. I shall abort my "plans". Hahaha, her worst ever nightmare.

We cabbed home eventually @ 1.5 rate. Haha. Showered and sleep.

Good night, good luck.

Cheers,
Jeanne
