A little knowledge is a dangerous thing

2nd September 2011
Fight fire with fire to the good content

Once again, it's rise and shine (I'm just kidding) before we continued our journey of the day. It took us a short fine moment to get done with packing. It's a fabulous room, to our likings, to our loves. I shall not complain about it. Till then, you will read about how misfortune could get us to. It's spinning us round and round. I simply can't stop imagine how we get things settled and over our dead tired yet worned out bodies.

We were all mad famish. Road works going on everywhere near Swiss Garden Hotel during our stay that made the travel trip rocky. I mean the road though. Constructions going on and some left undone at a corner. Anyway, it's definitely way exciting to make our way to Bukit Bintang. We dashed across busy road with ferocious vehicles speed pass and by us. It's definitely thrilling as you never know when they gonna grab your bags and get gone. It's kind of common cases in Malaysia. I doubt you can retrieve it back once it's gone. Y'know, gone means gone; gone for good.

We randomly walked about and decided to settle our meals at Nando. LOL, it turned out to be a bad experience. Anyway, I never really had interest in Nando's @ Singapore either. Not that tempting afterall. Msia's Nando's aint any better. I just it might be just US, not getting use to the taste of the food. From the first tasting, you definitely know they added spices commonly used by the local. We ain't used to that. Anyway, it's not worth trying unless you are a fan of Nando's.

Super duper diluted drinks. Tard even found dirt at the corner of her cup. Gross.

Looks great, but sucks inside.

Next, we began our shopping spree which wasn't worth blogging about unless you wanna poor quality fashion show or unglam self shot. You gonna love the place if you like shopping at Far East Plaza or Bugis Street. It's definitely cheaper than SG. Mw bought numerous dress costing ten bucks or less per piece. I bought none tops except some cute home clothes for pyjamas use. Nah, it ain't those sexy kinds. I'm not into those. Probably some big hoodies with a giant kitty at the front will be good enough for me.

I got super small feet.

As small as size of 5 or maybe 4, and I'm wearing only size 3 for converse shoes. It's damn amazing on my first buy of converse shoes. Anyway, it's not the length of my feet. It's the wideness that makes it small to the max. Most people got fleshy feet and common shoes had been catered to such cutting. Mine's too small for them. The only good about having small feet, less flesh is that you gonna feet well into heels. Even if you are wearing sandals or open toes shoes, there's not gonna be any excess flesh oozing out of the base of your shoes. Sigh, I still prefer normal pumps. It'd be good if they are willing to bring in Size 3.

It's really tiring to walk around. Fortunately, we found a bubble tea shop. Silly Mw requested no sugar added. It's the craziest and worst decision of all. She had some plum flavour drink (can't remember what it is), so sour that you can hardly open your eyes. By the way, it's sure good for cleansing and digestion. I had a small sip that made me nearly spit everything out of my mouth. It took me seconds to gulp it down. It's a torture. Tard had pudding milk tea, thumbs up. I had passion fruit, not bad though. I'm sure it's not as bad as Mw's. Yes, she loves fibre intake and I guess, sour shall be the best thing for her. Hope she gets all her fibre intake needed. I'm glad she's too busy to read this.

Nexts up, Famous Amous cookies that no one could have resist the aroma. I'm so surprised to see Famous Amous selling ice-cream. It's probably me, the only frog living in the well that doesn not know what's going on, on earth. You can't blame me for my stupidity because I had never seen any in Singapore. If there is, please tag on my tagboard and point it out for me. I'll be gratefull and glad to try.

It's not really ex. SGD2 or slight more for just a cone. It's definitely worth trying. Eh eh, I just wanna be honest, and say things dear to heart. Ice-cream in Singapore is quite expensive to me actually. One Swensen cone can simply cost you more than 5 bucks. If you are looking for some better quality ones, it might be more expensive.

We went on shopping and shopping. Tard got a common feet size of 37 and 38 which was uber great. Shoes are always available in such sizes. She whacked out 2 or 3 pairs from rack at one go, 20 bucks (SGD) each. It's the perfect pricing that I never had to ponder deep before buying. Just whack and go.

We had dinner at A&W. It's something that must never be missed. Singapore got no A&W. Well, use to have but I had no idea when they began to vanish one by one. I love their hotdogs bun, curly fries and waffles. It's so delicious.

One more, Root Beer Float!!!

Time to dig in....

Last picture before I ended the day.

We went back to the hotel, took our shower and had some refreshments. The next moment, we were all hopping mad about the hotel. It's probably not the problem of the hotel. Tard and my 8-characters definitely clashed, not in characteristic wise by the luck. We were damn unfortunate (you can called that suay if you want in hokkien) when we got tgt. When there's a 3rd person around, I'm glad the person survived the disastrous ordeal. We had cases like bus breakdown which happened twice or maybe an innocent party that broke his or her shoes for no reason. Somehow you can say that, even when we nail something to a wall, it will drop after some days. It's not very unexpected though.

Remember my first post about a change of bus from WTS to Five Star?

That's the first symptom and we sensed more to be coming. I was just blabbering over the phone with Tard about it and now it all came true like a fairy tale like. Not the positive part, but the negative ones. Mw brought her netbook so that she could complete the assignment. The network for the entire building was down for the day.

Why was that so? WHY? WHY? WHY?

Not the day before, not the day after, but the day we checked-in. I forgotten to mention, I even lost my hotel vouchers that I remembered I had placed it in the private compartment of my bag. Till then, I suspected myself for leaving it home on my study desk. Unfortunately, upon my return, I searched for it upside down and it's not in my room. Apparently, there's no explaination to this. All I could say is, it vanished all of a sudden. Sigh, let's get back to the commotion we had about.

I called the conceirge and told them to resolve the problem. They promised to get it done by 7am, but Mw needs it urgently. Anyway, it's not supposed to be down. I called them and they showed me attitude. That's a grave mistake they had made. The staff offered to let Mw had a 3hour stay in the Swiss Garden Apartment (Something like a suite). I found it to be unreasonable. So they expected Mw to travel to the apartment in the next building on her own while Tard and I slept in the hotel. It's freaking absurd and dangerous.

I can never leave my friend in lurge and danger.

I rant over the phone and they apologised non-stop about their mistake. But Mw need to submit her assignment, so we die-die had to get things DONE with immediate effect. We found the terms and conditions the their book stating about network issues. Mw brought the cable to the conceirge and we simply had it out with them. Still they offered to let Mw stay in the apartment for 3 hours wireless.

Worst, they later on offered one day stay. They suggested that we move in the apartment and the next day in the hotel. This is pretty "fabulous" man.

It's about 1am plus when we argued which means in less than 7 hours time, we had to pack up and checked-out so as to checked-in  into the hotel rooms again. They simply don't think with their brains. Probably malfunction in the middle of the night when such issue arised. So I suggested that they either get the network issue resolved immediately or let us stay in the apartment. They were caught dumbfounded and had not choice but to let us our way.

We were not unreasonable people. But checking in and out, repacked and unpacked more than 4 times each in a single day should be unacceptable. It's not even logical when you come to think about it. We chose that hotel for it's good location and free internet and they gave me such a big pile of shit. The manager was polite and compromising though. The junior staff was freaking rude, mad crude and he raised his beautiful voice at me. Cool yea, he wanna try, I shall let him have a good taste of my medicine too. I'm not a good pushover either.

He simply told us to pack in a nasty and horrible way. He said...

"Go up and pack now!"

See my exclaimation mark? It's rude alright. I'm not picking on him. He then pulled a long face telling me how impatience he was about us. Whatever and ever, I don't care. I just need the internet that's it. Mw was in a hurry to use the internet, so we got her someone to be her escort. She was escorted all the way to the apartment. I'm sure she was safe and sound. Tard and I were no pushover, we were not gonna pack our stuffs.

Crazy! We just came back from a shopping spree and had our showers just a while ago only. Our necessaties like cleanser, moisturizer, perfume, shampoo and etc were lying all around the room. Our merchandise had not been unpacked, lying in the plastic bags where they came from. Our clothes had been hanged in the wardrobe and things had been locked up in the safe. It's gonna take us way long to get things done. They junior staff showed no good face to us either. So we...

We placed all our bags on the couch. As for the neccessaties, I thought I was kind enough to get him a tray. I just placed everything on the tray. I'm not trying to be nasty. The bottles were all wet, you definitely didn't expect us to sit at a corner, drying every single corner of our bottles.

Unloaded hangers of clothes for him too.

By the way, my story had not come to an end. It's just the chorus not the ending. We were about the retrieve our valuables from safe when we realised it JAMMED! Now you see what I'm getting about? That's when unfortunate and misfortune met, just like planets clashing the earth. A great metaphor to me. I wanted to ring them up when I realised, no cable as Mw had returned the cable at the conceirge. Poor me had to use the phone in the toilet and asking for assistance.

You're amazing, just the way you are (For Swiss Garden, lol)

Photobucket

He then transferred the stuffs from the hotel room to the apartment ANGRILY. Lol, I thought we should be the angry ones instead and not that fella. We moved into our new apartment. It's pretty nice and comfy. Mmm, just a little stuff because it's newly renovated. I thought we got a great deal.

Unfortunately, the safe in the new apartment was down too. Sigh, we had no one to blame. Just our luck, everything was expected. It was about 4am when we finally done with re-unpacking before getting to bed. I shall post pictures of the apartment in my next post.

Have a nice day and good luck.

Cheers,
Pzyy
