My brokest

I detest June and December the most especially when my 'clients' start to cancel their 'appointments' creating unexpected gap in between my schedule. Tiny gap with great impact, leaving me alone at a corner staring into the space. In short, these are my brokest month.

I used to blog and update frequently but not lately as I was busy. Not really, probably lazy to log in (that's all). Soon, I'll resort to writing a diary instead of typing because I simply got nothing much to write about my life except my gatherings and rant of coz. Life's tough and boring for everyone. It's all about working things out in our daily life. Good night.

My sweet four

12th November 2013
It's hard to be less than happy when you can be happy with less. The world is before you and a horizon that keeps on changing.

Rise and shine at Sun Moon Lake. Yep, it was quiet place indeed in my opinion. There's no night market or places for shopping exactly unless you are talking about souvenirs. It's the best place to stock up souvenirs for friends and family. I personally find it really peaceful and quiet, nothing quite much to do other than sight seeing. Maybe I'm a boring person, but we combed most of the areas that we should. I had to agree that the air was cooling and fresh when we were there. It's probably the best period to go on a hike or cycle around the lake. We had breakfast at Doris Home before heading out. Yes, the breakfast was scrumptious with considerations that it was a homestay and not a hotel. The owner of the homestay was exceptionally friendly.

#Me and bf

I looked really pale here because the weather was too cold for me to handle. We rented and electric bike instead of the normal bicycle because I'm a bicycle noob. I can't cycle for god sake, so bf had to take up the weight of 2 and that's gonna be tiring when going uphill. Just imagine a total 110kg plus, it can kill seriously. Most of the tourist attractions are accessible via bicycle or car but I believe it's more convenient and fun to cycle around.

The slope was too steep to carry two of us. Then I realised, the bicycle looked nice. It's the basket that made it looked nice I supposed.

I am a free thinker, so I don't really know much about religion except the very general of the general knowledge. I did no worshipping there as bf is a free thinker too. There was a Matchmaker God at Longfeng Temple. I heard of Matchmaker God but haven't seen any of such shrines in my entire life. You should pay a visit too if you haven't seen one.

#Tricycle

We saw someone riding on this mode of transport the night before. We wanted to rent one too. Unfortunately, it was not open for rental. It looked cute and fun though, suits noob of wheels like me. At least, I won't have difficulty balancing myself.

Bf and I cycled around the area and we only managed to combed a quarter of the trail. That took approximately an hour plus. We went to their service station and bought the earliest bus ticket to Cingjing. I can't remember how much I had paid exactly. Not to worry, it's not that expensive.

#On the bus

I was unwell during the bus ride because the weather was getting cold. I didn't bring sufficient clothing as it was said to be air-con temperature only. In the end, I didn't survive that cooling weather. Y'know, I still play when I'm sick, so it's not really a big deal.

I chose Spring Ground Homestay for our trip to Cingjing. I was considering Sunny Dale initially but decided to try Spring Ground after reading a blogger's post. They called it a homestay, but I feel that it's more like a hotel (a vintage/old school) upon my arrival. Free transportation provided as well.

You get to interact with small animals which is absolutely awesome. It can be quite disgusting when you watch them eat and defecate at the same time. I spend nearly an hour feeding the sheep at the farm. I was feeding only three sheep when I saw five or six trotting towards me from a distance and I knew I gonna be so freaked out just in case their butt rubbed against my legs. Y'know, like I've just mentioned, they defecate everywhere they go. So, don't be too surprise about walking on their excrement. Those black tiny choc-alike objects are their excrement.

#Feeding the black goat

I seriously hate this little black goat. Yeah, little but fatal. I was feeding it when it got greedy and wanted more food. It was so desperate that it scratched my thigh with its horn accidentally leaving a blue black bruise for the entire week.

Bf and I roamed about the area on our own and we found this remote area with good scenery. Best part was, there's no barrier unlike most of the areas. It felt like a scavenger hunt but you gotta be really careful. It's gonna be dangerous if you slipped.

Poor bf, carrying my bag like his bag throughout the entire trip.

'Tu Ji" (土鸡) is one of the local delicacy. There's quite a number of outlet at Cingjing, so our driver recommended one of the outlet where 食尚玩家 visited. I felt amazing when we were given plastic gloves and the thick gloves (the ones used to hold durian). Bf then explained that the gloves were given so that we can tear the meat even when it's hot.

They have small little shelters in purple where you can probably have a cup of tea and chit chat over some snacks.

#Feeding time

Bf spent his money on feeding for the entire day. The birds were really cute and they followed you when they knew that you got food. That's seriously adorable.

Bf was feeding it when it was close to dinner time. I knew I was kind of bad when the thought of roast duck came into my mind out of the blue.

That performance was kind of boring, even the kids weren't entertained or amused at the sight of it. We waited nearly an hour before the show began and it turned out to be a big disappointment. Anyway, there's nothing much to do and we were just killing the time.

The weather was so cold that we were craving for something hot, spicy and soupy. So, we had steamboat for dinner.

I was mad hungry at night (partly due to boredom), so we explored the street in the middle of the night. Hell no, there were only a few lamp post that was barely sufficient for bf to see, let alone someone with night blindness like me. We had to walk along the side of the road as there was no pavement to the nearest convenience store. Guess what we found? Xiao Long Bao and Japanese Curry Rice. We made a mess of it on our way back but seriously, it taste good with considerations that they were ready-to-eat food. I was madly in love with their instant curry rice and I had them like 4 times throughout the trip.

Good night,
Pzy
