Making sense

Have you guys read the news about someone jumping onto the MRT track again today?

It happens this afternoon; Policemen and staffs only manage to resume MRT services in the late afternoon about 3.40pm (wow, memory is getting better, I only read the article once). It was mentioned that only 3 stations had been installed with half-height screen doors.

Well, I doubt it helps afterall. If the person had the urge to commit sucide, no matter where you had installed the screen doors, they are bound to pick another location. Previously, one died in Yishun; after the screen door had been installed, such cases continued at the other stations. Goverment make plans to ensure all 36 stations were equip with such safety system. In my perspective, it makes no sense. The person may simply pick LRT stations over MRT stations by then. Is singapore going to build such half height screen doors at LRT platform as well?
