Dancing to the music

16th October 2013
October is crisp days and cool nights, a time to curl up around the dancing flames and sink into a good book.

It was a day with miracle of completeness. Huiyee, the eldest (I doubt she like this 'term') among us was missing most of the time simply because she was too occupied by other programmes. She was engrossed about gatherings and now, diet programmes. She signed up fitness programmes to lose weight. We all learnt about Hy's slimming plan. We were looking forward for the good result since she had started for a month or so.

#Laksa Steamboat (Chicken, Laksa Soup Base)

Wl, Qian, Lq and I met up our old meeting place before we made our way to Serangoon. So near, yet so far to Teng who was/is having a pig head due to some skin irritation. I wish her a speedy recovery so that we can frighten ourselves with a horror film together.

Wl and I intended to board another bus so that we could have seats. Unfortunately, Qian giving wrong opinions to board her suggested bus got us standing throughout the journey. Standing in a bus can be irritating especially when you are caught in a jam. Worse, the air-con was not working and we had to fan ourselves with our ez-link card(bus card). Qian hung her head low in silence and offered her handphone casing for fanning. Her expression was really funny.

#Let the feast begin

Qian and her famous opinions often lands her in wrong direction. Once again, we proven it to be true. Qian's sense of direction is awfully amazing. Therefore, if you are suffering from night blindness, I strongly not recommend her as your walking stick. We were at Dhoby Ghaut Station and we were heading for the purple line. Qian must have just experienced or learnt the correct direction (She had problem with trains at times too.), assumed that her route to purple line was absolutely correct.

She gestured us to follow her from times to times. Wl, Lq and I had learnt a valuable "summer bus" lesson minutes ago. Once bitten, twice shy, we foresee it as a trap. We stood there in bewilderment wondering if we should follow her because the escalator to purple line is right beside us.

We decided not to follow her even after she's gone. Instead, we took the escalator beside us and made our way down. Qian went off 5 minutes earlier than us and yet we still waited a minute or more for her. She took 2 escalators and made a detour before meeting us again while we only took less than 10 walking steps and took 1 escalator. We were so thankful about our right choice.

#Happy Laksa-ing

Huiyee's gonna be late (sigh, as usual, but rather punctual this time). Qian wasn't feeling pink in health after a chocolate bar because she was too famished. Nope, we didn't starve her. She decided not to have the breakfast her mummy had prepared. The overwhelming heat in the bus probably gave her giddy spell and a heaty chocolate bar added on to negative effect. While the rest were waiting for Huiyee, I accompanied her to get a drink. Upon our return, Qian commented that Huiyee was bigger than before (upsizing in progress) even though she went for fitness programmes leaving Huiyee in daze. Even so, Huiyee told me that she lost 7.5kg. I had no idea where the weights went to either. Based on my visualization, I agreed with Qian.

We walked a long distance before reaching our destination (King's Laksa). Yb had many chicken wings while Huiyee ate plates of luncheon meat. I only had a piece or two but she had plates. Luncheon meat fever and that was scary.

#Cakes and spa package

We shared the cost and purchase a spa package for Yb. She was mentioning about spa during late lunch and we all thought that she already knew our plan. Thank god, it was just a coincidental remarks.

We took train to Clarke Quay before transferring to bus. We had a "hi-tea" (chat and laugh) session on bus before reaching Junction 10 for Teoheng (Karaoke).

#Happy Bday Reunion

We prepared the cake and waited for the bday girl's arrival as Qian brought her to Bukit Panjang Plaza to buy some food so that we have space to make preparation.

Then I suggested candid shots instead of formal. It turned out all good even though it consisted the unglamorous side of us. Unglamorous is never a big deal because it consist the real happiness and fun-time. Cute puppy eyes portraits are not for me anymore because I'm already over that stage and no longer a teenager (Sad to know but it's a fact after all).

Happy Birthday to Yb, may your wishes come true. All the best in your studies. Stay cheerful and happy all the time. Muacks.

I'm currently hoping that my darling Teng has a speedy recovery. Pig's face had been haunting her for quite a while and I had not seen her. I sort of miss her.

Cheers,
Pzy
