The older the fiddler, the sweeter the tune

22nd May 2012
Youth is happy because it has the ability to see beauty. Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.

It's Chris's Birthday. In fact, it's just another year older. I have a love-hate feelings for birthday every year. I feel happy because it's a big occasion for me as though i gonna sprung out of a stone anytime. Sounds exaggerating, I bet I know that. Indeed, it is/was. We went to Tanglin Mall. Oh ya, it's where Cassandra used to work. It reminded me of the old times visiting the outlet where she work. The restaurant is known is Spageddies. I love their pasta, it's pretty awesome. I never forget the salad with crunchy bread crumbs served. Tanglin's outlet closed down few years back. It's still available @ Orchard Central according to Cass.

We went to Beviamo Caffe for brunch. No GST and service charge, but they would appreciate tips. How cool was that huh!

#Kitchen

It was an open kitchen concept. No worries about spit into your soup and drinks. I'm just kidding. No one would spit into your drinks and soup unless you are nasty to the crew, I guessed so. But such things can be unpredictable. Open kitchen gave me a wide eye wonder about how they handled food and organised their chores.

#Casear salad dressing with smoked salmon

I never really like salmon. Probably only those completely cooked or fried ones from Yoshinoya. I never really like smoked salmon either. Yup, it's been "smoked". But it still looked raw to me. Anyway, I just summarised in short that I hate raw food. I had difficulty appreciating them. Lol. I'm weird, and I know.

#Mushroom pizza

I love mushrooms. Maybe I resemble one (Sound sad, I know). I always love a particular type of shroom. I got to know the name of the shroom through steamboat session. Wth, at an age of almost ## (ahem) and I'm still unable to differentiate different types of shrooms and veggies. Sounds pathetic. Zzzz.

We went to watch The Raid Redemption. It was an Indoneasian movie which I thought it might not be good. In fact, it turns out the other way round. I gonna raised my thumbs for it. No computer effects had been used and they fought fiercely. Comparable to Jackie Chan? Probably so, I was so taken back by the entire movie. My eyes was glued to the screen despite gory scenes. It was definitely worth watching. That is why people always said that we should never judge anything by its cover. How true.

5 stars for it. *Thumbs up*

Chris drove to Dempsey Hill. Ever since he got GPS, he never went the wrong way again. Mmmm, solely dependent on GPS. I'm so curious, expecting programming error in the GPS someday. What would the consequences be and so on? Curiosity kills the cat.

#The Roadhouse

We decided to settled our dinner at The Roadhouse. The ambience was pretty nice. Services great, the crew attended to us promptly whenever we need their help. They did a good recommendation on their food as well. It was then I caught a glimpse of "donuts". In fact, it wasn't donut but onion rings. It's awesomely cool. I shall show it to you.

#Onion rings

I love the onion rings. It was damn big LAH! It was exactly my fist size. Trust me, it's real onion within. Probably better than Burger King's ones. The surface was piping hot and crispy even after an hour. I'm sure it's one of the popular dish there. Many patrons ordered it as well.

#French Fries

We were told that they served free flow of fries on every tuesday. Perfect for fries lovers.

#Mac and cheese with Bolognaise

I love Mac and cheese. It's an all time favourite. This was slightly different. The base was bolognaise while Mac and cheese on the top layer.

The food was great. I'll definitely visit Roadhouse again. Well, only if there's car. Because I'm fat and lazy. I can't walk long distance for goodness sake. Chris drove pass the bus stop and I saw people strolling. Gosh, the route was crazily long. I might not be aware of any shortcuts. But I'll definitely not walk all the way in there. I might die of heat stroke or fatigue anytime. Stamina is dying as I aged.

Have a nice day, peeps.

Horrible weather, so take care yep.

Cheers,
Pzy
