Just another day

It's a long long journey...

It's been quite a while since I blog. Well, I'm really busy working trying real hard just to earn a living like all commoners. The reason we work is to strive and reach for a better goal. Thunderstorms and tornados might just intrude from time to time giving you a hell of time. You might be lost for a while, but you should never fail to get back to your path.

There's no free lunch in the world. You may not always get the best of both world. Neverthless, greed does fill us. We never fail to yearn for it. Don't you agree?

That's life.

Living the way you are, the way you want to be, the way you strive will bring you a brand new horizon.

I shall put my granny's rant aside and update a little bits and pieces. I'll be going on a short trip next weekend, I'm so looking forward it. It's just a simple getaway and I really hope it's not gonna rain. The place I'm going meant to be pretty sunny. As you see, it's monsoon season and Thailand's flooding like crazy. I love rainy days but when comes to oversea trip. Cross my finger and pray real hard. If everything's fine, I might have a far better mood to post. Wooha!

I'm gonna sleep, nights, everyone!

Have a nice weekend.

Another pop

Here I got an interesting question that I came across. I'm curious about public answers and responses to this. My question is...

Are you able to accept photo with a woman's arm around your boyfriend or a man's arm around your girlfriend?

Please cast you votes/answer to the tagboard. Only answers like "acceptable" and "non-acceptable" would be accepted. If you got any further comments or questionaires, please email me instead. The vote ends at 2pm.Thank you.

-CLOSED-

In my opinion, yes, probably to a certain extend. For instant, if he/she is a lifetime friend or family members to the extend of cousins or distant relatives. It's absolutely acceptable. Or maybe we can say it in another way. If it is classmate for years or someone whom you know for long, there is utterly no wrong in that.

BUT...

If you were to say, it's a hi-bye friend, someone whom you did not know for long; probably just a guy/girl in the next class, it's unacceptable. I would agree for group photo taking scenarios but not just a picture of 2. It's misleading, and definitely lead to misunderstanding.

Well, it's just a random topic to clear some dust. So dont think in depth too much, kill cells though.

Have a nice day, everyone.

Against the grain

4th September 2011
Against the grain and tear away

Rise and shine like the repeating CD. We set alarm clock as early as 6am as we were leaving KL on an early coach. We must be either deaf or dead tired not to hear the alarm. We had a too good night sleep throughout. The air-con was finally cooling enough and I bet the previous one was warm because of Mw's doing (She opened the window at the living room. Sigh.) Thanks to Tard, I jumped out of bed in fright once again. It was a really horrible experience. I'm glad we were done with packing the night before.

Pack and run.

Every 24 hour interval marked a new beginning of the day. Nevertheless, it marked as a reminder to the end of our short getaway. We had breakfast at hotel cafe, probably a scrumptious one. Mw had the greatest portion and had not forseen time running out just like a dripping tap.

It was the day of return, hence no makeup.

Yes, yes, bear with it since it's the only photo of us for the day.

We had massage session and went to shop around at Berjaya Time Squares. Time's running out, so we quickly scan through. Unfortunately, we failed to comb the mall completely. It was then I caught a glimpse of this Ireland's Potato.

I bet you must try it out. There's no outlet in SG at the moment (according to what I know). The first time I had Ireland Potato was during my trip in Seoul, Korea. It's mad awesome. I bet it's a billion times better than the Fries Forever in Cineleisure. I tried that before too, and I really don't understand why people are going back again and again. Apparently, it sucks to me. Horrible, terrible and I rather eat vegetable. Absolutely a waste of money.

Ireland's Potato was awesome. We had the cheese one and licked up the container clean.
 It was super delicious.

The coach we board was marvellous great the opposite. Suck thumb! The driver was late for 30 minutes and I could even pay a visit to toilet not once but twice. Worst of all, the bus stopped somewhere in the middle of nowhere for 1hr 30 min. The tour guide jolly-well told us it's just a 10 minutes stop, trying his best to distract us by playing a super hilarious DVD of a Thai movie.

The passengers behind us were red with anger. They voiced out their unhappiness so do we. Anyway, I had made complaints to WTS Travel Agency @ Lot 1 Shopping Mall.

Their service was terrible, talking to us in super loud tone and poor attitude. They expected us to return without giving us proper explanations with regards to the issue below:

1) A transfer of coach from WTS to Five Star Tour last minute.
2) Change of boarding location without seeking approval from us.
3) Driver arrived late at pickup point at Berjaya Time Square.
4) Ridiculously wait of 1hr 30 minutes on bus.
5) Waited for 3 unknown passengers just because they missed the bus (None of my F'kin business)
6) Arrived Sg midnight ( It was a 10 hour journey. Unreasonable)

Anyway, the harder they attempt to send us away, the more they gonna regret. They finally decided to refund part of the payment for the journey due to their lousy service. They promised to send me a letter with their apologies to theses issue one by one. Ok, I had not collected the apology letter from them yet. Busy-busy. I'll collect from them asap and update again. Infuriating!!!

Anyway, I gonna have my good night sleep now.

You too.

Have a nice day ahead.

Bright days shining on

3rd September 2011
When the moon is full, the stars shine brightly.

Right after our scrumptious breakfast in the morning at the hotel, we scurried back like a mouse except Meiwen, Ms Slow. She was dragging her feet back to hotel unwillingly. Yan and I would be out for shopping in town except her. She claimed to be doing her project, how true can it be? Basically she made special plans for herself, lavishing all her body product. She intended to have a bubble bath in the big bath tub with a sky view. It sounded rather relaxing but we had no time to spare on that.

Our first stop is KLCC. It's definitely our cup of tea. We went to usual places like Topshop, Mango, Zara and many more. It's cheaper than Singapore. Well, it all had to depend on your exchange rate. We probably managed to get a better rate. We did calculations everywhere we go, I mean them (exclude me pls, not that crazy). We were saving about 10 bucks or slightly more on individual clothings. The best thing was, don't forget to approach customer service counter. Flash them your NRIC and you would be entitled to a tourist discount card of 10% for selected outlet. Basically, the discount was available at most of the shopping outlets. Flash your SG (local) topshop card, and you would be entitled to additional 10% discount.

We bought Auntie Anne's, Cinamon flavour.

It's cheap and good.

We were crazily shopping up and down. My backpack nearly burst and my hands were filled with shopping loots, from top to bottom. As for Tard, I believed that she bought more than me. It was finally, we encountered some special sensation in our feet, damn sore. Blisters were about to burst, and skin was about to peel fresh in our shoes. Our greatest regret was to wear pumps. Trust me, wear a pair of sandals or flip flops would be more than perfect. Being a shopaholic, you really need to walk. Shopping in KL was nothing but walking.

We decided to take a short rest at The Cream & Fudge Factory. KLCC was so big that we made rounds and rounds before we found it. Open your eyes wide, shine and bright and you would be able to spot it from far. The signage might be misleading at times. We were at level 1, but a signage just appeared of nowhere stating that we were at level 3. It's either our misinterpretation or they were being misleading.

Back to The Cream & Fudge Factory.

Next, we went to The Pavillion. It was awesome. Remember to approach customer service counter for tourist card too. 10% is always better than nothing. Failed to take some pictures. Y'know, it's rather dangerous for 2 girls to be walking round and round in a foreign country. Eyes had been following us everywhere we were. We seriously put off the idea of cabbing to meet Ms Slow at a later timing, worrying the cab driver might drove us to some weird places. Trust me, stay with the crowd, open your eyes when you cross the busy road.

No rules...

Meiwen was infuriated for the day. She took a cab to meet us and ended up seated in the cab for more than 30 minutes. It was supposed to be a 5 minutes cab-ride initially. She was mad driven. Tard and I were seated, resting while waiting for her royal arrival. Here Ms Slow rant upon her arrival. Sigh.

Photobucket

We had out dinner at a restaurant. It was just so-so. Probably not as bad as what Ms Slow had said. But I'll try not to visit it again. I visited it for it's good location and safety reason though. It's kinda scary when weird uncles calling out for you as you walked through the shops. Eew.

No matter what, safety comes first.

All shag faces.

Obviously, we were tired except Mw who had been resting in the hotel for the whole day.

We bought some drinks and food before heading back to our hotel in the cab.

That's about it for Day 2.

Happier state of mind

9th September 2011
Let the rain kiss you and sing you a lullaby.

Tagboard is flooding like mad with all the irrelevant and so. Sigh, I knew that, no matter what I say, nothing goes into ears. No matter what happen, life has to move on. We are just living humans. We can't dawn on unhappiness and live in misery. Be optimistic and strive hard forward without looking back. To be honest, yes, I deliberately not blog to tone things down or you can say I'm scared to blog. Haha, I don't mind admitting that, neither do I mind readers telling me so. I'm absolutely fine.

Life is hectic as usual. It's all about work and life. My life means no life. I had been facing my rectangular laptop screen at every end of the day. I know it's meaningless, but I had to. Or maybe you can recommend me something better or meaningful to do. H&M had opened for quite sometime, I've been looking forward to visit but no time. Furthermore, I had burnt a hole in my pocket during my KL trip. Y'know, shopping is crazy in KL. I seriously don't mind going there again. Slacking at the same hotel despite the horrible dispute. I truly believe that it's nothing but just some unexpected and unforseen circumstances. For the comfortable room and delicious scrumptious breakfast. Gosh, it's on my mind.

Bf had been neglecting me (always... always... always) due to his studies. He's either doing project, revising his school work or doing part time to pay off his fees. No time for me, sob sob. No la, I'm not that emotional either. I'm happy that he's neglecting me for studies because he's doing the right thing. Alright, I'm more or less done with simple updates.

Photobucket

I used to like Ajisen for it's soupy ramen. But now, I had better likings and cravings. I'm crazy for Saporo Ramen. Well, I can't say it's taste really good to everyone. As you know, different people have different liking for certain taste. I love Saporo for it's soup base. It's thicker than Ajisen and they used duck egg instead of normal eggs. The char siew is tender not chewy at all (I hate chewy ones). It's located between Ajisen and Fruit Pardise at Plaza Singapura. I'm not sure if there's other outlets. But that's the outlet I visit usually. It's addictive.

Photobucket

My boyfriend is the best of all. No matter how poor he is, he always give me everything I want. When I ask for something, I'll get it. He will work his life and give me the best. Just as I requested to eat Saporo, here I am. Yummy!

Oh no, my hair was looking thick in the photo. I know, I know. I'm upset over it too. Looking like a lion instead of a lioness. You will see my power when I roar. Haha, I'm just kidding. Anyway, I trim it recently and the hairstylist look pretty amazed when he saw my hair. Yes, in fact, my hair grow fast, I would say very fast. It's around shoulder length at the beginning of the year, now it's reaching waistline. I got them trim shorter as it was said online that hair that reach waistline attract ah-piao (ghost???). I'm pretty scared. Lol.
