What matter most is how well you walk through the fire.
Another beautiful weekend of mine. I did my manicure a week before my trip to JB with Teng. I did manicure only because it was chipping badly and I can no longer bear with the sight of its ugliness. So, I saved my toes for her. Oh no, that sounds really wrong and bad.
#Affogato
We hesitated for quite a while before deciding our lunch at Breeks Cafe. It was too early and they hadn't even started their business of the day. We were their first customers. Teng ordered affogato which looked really delicious compared to those we had in Sg. Maybe we hadn't really discovered any nice one in sg yet.

Teng had a wedding to attend, so she decided to up-size her pedicure package. To my horror, her entire package took her more than 3 hours and I had decided to go shopping on my own than to station myself on the sofa especially when her manicurist was really weird. Her manicurist was talking non-stop about illogical stuffs that simply gave us nerve breakdown.
Finally, her nails were done and we had a second round of shopping spree. We were penniless at the end of the day. It was so bad that we had to stop shopping (like right away).

We had our dinner at Manhattan Fish Market because it was really cheap. My bag was madly stuffed with shopping bags till it was at it's breaking point. I mean, the handle couldn't take it anymore. So I had to unpack while waiting for my dinner to be served.
#On our way back
We took their public bus back to the checkpoint because there's no cab in sight. Anyway, it was a fast ride. Then, the worse's here. Upon our arrival at the bus terminal, there's a massive jam. Not vehicle jam but human jam. We knew we were in deep shit. We tried to board the private buses but fail. Fortunately, we met a young nice guy who was willing to take us along in his queue (his gf was queueing halfway). If not for him, I bet we'll still be stranded in JB after 12am.

I thought the worse was over when we realised we'd missed the last bus from sg back home. So, we decided to take a cab. Sigh, it wasn't any better. The cab queue was mad long and I knew we won't make it. We ran to catch the last bus back to Woodland and decided to take a train. To our horror, the last train would leave in a minute time. So, we ran as fast as lightning all the way to the platform and missed our train. We were panting away before we realised, that wasn't even our train. Yeah, foolish us. The good news was, we got onto the right train and reached home safely at the end of the day. What a happening day!
Cheers,
